Chapter 216 Item Drop From The Giant

*RUMBLE*

As Raydon's attacks continued to cause destruction inside the giant and set fire to it, the collapse that Raydon had been waiting for finally began to take place, and he soon realized that the giant had collapsed to the ground with a resounding crash.

'Finally,' he thought to himself with joy.

Despite the fact that he was trapped inside the giant while it was engulfed in flames and crumbling like a skyscraper, his defenses ensured that he didn't take much damage. Nevertheless, the non-stop attack using his combo still wore him out, and he was about to be forced to forcefully dispel his combo form.

There was also a second reason for Raydon's happiness, and that was because of the system messages that he was now receiving.

[Lv.10 Water Slime (E-Rank) has been killed.]

[You gained 2000 experience points.]

[You gained 2000 experience points.]

..

[You gained 2000 experience points.]

It was obvious that these water slimes had another spawn center other than where Raydon was right now, and as the flames engulfed the giant's body, Raydon began to receive system messages that his flames were killing these slimes at another location. And these messages kept coming in at such an incredible rate that, at one point, they had already surpassed the number of slimes that Raydon had killed in the location where he is now.

On the other hand, he had not received any message from the system indicating that the giant had been successfully killed.

Raydon finally came to a stop after what seemed like an eternity of being tossed back and forth inside the collapsing giant. He didn't waste any time and started looking for a way out of the giant's ass.

Because the fire had already consumed such a significant portion of the giant's body, fortunately, getting out was not difficult.

After making his way through the charred flesh and skin, he was finally able to break free into the fresh air where he could breathe more easily. When he turned around, he saw the giant's body, which looked like a mountain that had been engulfed in flames.

He let out a chuckle as he said, "Well, that was fun."

As Raydon admired the masterpiece of destruction that he had created and read through the numerous notifications of his kills, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction. He merely stood there, taking everything in, and reveling in the acclaim that came with his victory for a brief while.

After waiting for a little while longer, he started to become curious about the reason why he had not been informed of the death of the giant by the system. When he looked over at the giant's body, he saw that the black flames had almost entirely consumed it, giving the impression that it was completely dead.

''It appears that besides the water slimes, there won't be any other kill messages. Is this giant also some kind of item formation? ''

The fact that there are no more system messages led him to believe that this giant was merely an item formation that functioned as a home or manufacturing facility for water slimes.

During the inheritance of the golden skeleton, which was Raydon's first time taking part in an inheritance, Fehim told him that an item formation of some kind was the reason for the hail of arrows that fell upon them during one of the stages.

And considering that information, as well as the fact that the items could be combined to produce communication tools and even vehicles, he became convinced that the concept of the giant being nothing more than a machine comprised of various items was accurate.

Raydon pondered as he moved closer to the body of the giant, which was almost entirely consumed by the dark flames. "I guess I will need to acquire additional knowledge about this item formation thing in the future."

He had gained some knowledge about soldier crafting from Herman's book, but it was clear that this giant was not of the same type as those soldiers. Obviously, creating item formations was a much more complex process that required a deeper understanding of the mechanics involved.

'It looks like there won't be any more loot to be found. 'As Raydon made his way closer to the giant's head, he couldn't help but reflect on the sight of the creature's body consuming itself and dissipating into thin air with every passing second. Unfortunately, the water slimes he had killed had also vanished without a trace.

''Hmm… What's that? '' He was initially looking for the water bubble that he had seen on the giant's head and believed to be the reward for this inheritance. All of a sudden, however, his attention was drawn to something glowing inside the giant's burning body.

Raydon ignored the flames and started to walk toward the glowing thing.

''Is it dropped from the giant?'' As he approached this thing, he saw that it appeared to be a blue crystal about the size of a regular pearl. Additionally, it was fascinating to observe that the black flames appeared to be moving away from the object, and not even sparks were coming into contact with it.

Raydon realized that this was not the reward in the water bubble that he saw initially due to the location of this thing. Thinking that it was loot dropped by the giant, he excitedly took it and checked it out.

[Frostborn Eye]

-Grade: White

-Quality: N/A

-Skill: Body Enchantment

Gradually, the person's eyes freeze with an icy chaos, granting them a commanding gaze possessed by only the most powerful monarchs, boosting the effectiveness of their command and control-type skills by 5%.

''...''

When Raydon discovered that the item he had been so hopeful for was a white grade body enchantment, he was rendered speechless.

''Didn't I accomplish the impossible and kill that giant? Is this the reward for all this? '' Raydon remarked while making an unpleasant face. At the very least, he wouldn't be quite as disheartening if it was a green-grade body enchantment.
