A subtle shift in the atmosphere alerted the keen senses of the elven warriors after the last of the Cave Dweller Zombies fell.

The elves, attuned to the rhythms of nature and the subtle nuances of their surroundings, felt a disturbance in the air—a faint ripple that indicates an impending danger.

Eldrin, with his sharp instincts honed by years of training and experience, was the first to detect the faint tremors that signaled the approach of the unseen threat.

The others followed as they looked into the darkness deep within the cave. A sense of unease settled over the group as the elves exchanged knowing glances…

The elves, with their heightened awareness and uncanny intuition, soon realized what was going on…

"Cover your ears!" Eldrin's voice rang out, a sense of urgency underscoring his words as he prepared for the attack.

The air around them seemed to vibrate with an unseen force as Screamer Zombies gathered their energy. And then, it came—a piercing screech that reverberated through the tunnel, sending shockwaves of pain and disorientation through the group.

"Screeechh~"

The ear-splitting sound wave attack of the Screamer Zombies echoed off the walls of the cave, intensifying in its ferocity as it assaulted their senses.

"Aaacckk—"

Shane, caught off guard by the unexpected nature of the attack, found himself defenseless against the onslaught of sound that threatened to overwhelm them.

Even if his hands were covering his ears, it wasn't enough at all. He even activated his Sentinel Sphere but it wasn't effective at all!

The elves, known for their resilience and adaptability in battle, exchanged concerned glances as they struggled to withstand the unusual attack from the Screamer Zombies. Although they could endure it, it felt difficult to move!

If they didn't kill the Cave Dwellers fast enough, they would've been in serious trouble!

Luckily for them, the Screamer Zombies could not move or do other attacks as they did this…

Eldrin then looked at the others.

Even Shinja, the seasoned warrior, furrowed his brow in frustration at the unconventional and formidable enemy they faced.

However, amidst the chaos, Chaloem, the monk with a serene demeanor, stepped forward with a determined expression.

Closing his eyes in concentration, he clasped his hands together in a gesture of prayer before extending his palm towards the wave of sound attacking them...

With a sudden surge of energy, Chaloem unleashed a Palm Technique infused with his inner Ki, creating a barrier of spiritual energy that shimmered in the dim light of the cave.

Whom~

The protective shield absorbed the brunt of the sound wave attack, dispersing its harmful effects and shielding the group from harm!

The sound wave attack that would normally last for quite a while suddenly stopped after this move!

"Now!"

Emboldened by Chaloem's display of skill, the elves rallied together, they rushed towards the stunned Screamer Zombies!

As they got nearer, they confirmed the presence of twelve formidable Screamer Zombies that emerged from the shadows.

Even Shane was quite surprised, as Cloud had completely failed to sense their presence.

"Cut their throat! Don't let them scream again!" Eldrin commanded.

He darted between the zombies with a flurry of quick strikes, his blades slicing through the throats of the nearest Screamer Zombies with incredible accuracy.

Beside him, Thalion also assisted him as he struck the stunned Zombies.

The other elves also followed, their movements were swift and coordinated as they all closed in on the Screamer Zombies…

None of them used their bows in this situation, as they all used their short blades. They started cutting down the undead foes with swift and deadly efficiency!

Chaloem also didn't stop helping the elves as he unleashed a shockwave that seemed to be capable of stopping the other Screamer Zombies from attacking. His palms crackled with Ki energy as he delivered a few more shockwaves, creating openings for the elven allies to exploit.

Thud!

As the last of the Screamer Zombies fell to the ground, defeated by the skill and prowess of the elven warriors and the monk, a haunting cry echoed through the cavern.

It was as if the souls of the undead creatures cried out in a final, desperate lament, creating momentary disorientation among the nearby people.

'Even their spirit can scream like that?!' Shane couldn't help but complain after being attacked by that.

Though momentarily shaken by the eerie sound that filled the air, the elves and the others stood their ground as they endured the final attack of the now-defeated Screamer Zombies.

As the cries faded into the darkness, the souls of the defeated Screamer Zombies dissipated, leaving behind an eerie silence that hung heavy in the cavern.

With the battle won and the undead threat removed, the elves stood triumphant while their short blades were stained with the blood of their fallen foes…

Now, it was time for Shane to get his loot.

"Please watch the surroundings while I loot them." Shane said as he first checked the dwarves or the Cave Dweller Zombies.

[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ]

"Yes."

To Shane's surprise, all twelve Cave Dweller Zombies dropped Miner's Helmet! It was a decent haul.

Furthermore, they all dropped a unit of Unknown Meat!

Now, his eyes turned to the Screamer Zombies. He was also hoping that they would drop some decent items.

Shane then approached their bodies and with a pat using his gloved left hand, he received the familiar notification.

"Yes."
