Nonetheless, Shane wasn't in a hurry.

Slowly but surely, he began to shape the aura around him, molding it with precision and finesse. The aura that he could only see retreated and moved around his body, and a sense of tranquility settled in his soul.

With each breath, Shane felt the power of the aura coursing through him, a potent force waiting to be unleashed.

'This is really incredible…' Shane muttered as he turned his attention to the other bodies waiting to be looted.

"Lesser Invisibility, huh…" Shane muttered as he felt that this could be an awesome Talent. However, since it was only a Rare Grade and was even called 'Lesser', he believed that his Crawler Set was already better because of its various abilities to hide in the shadows.

Chane decided to ignore this loot and was already happy with the Experience Points and the Reputation Points he earned.

He then continued with his looting process as he gets the same Experience Points and Reputation Points. It was the same with the loot except for the looted Skill and Talent.

Shane refused this easily.

Nonetheless, he was quite impressed that he was able to obtain various skills that require specific Talents to obtain. Just like the Weather Sense, without the True Enhanced Senses, it would have felt impossible to obtain this skill!

As he continued, the two other Survivors he looted didn't give him any new skills or interesting talents, as they were only Uncommon Talents.

Of course, the other Rare and Exceptional Talents here didn't replace any of his current talents as he felt that they weren't worth it.

After this, Shane decided to check his current status.

Shane muttered after seeing his current Vitality Points. That was certainly a huge increase, as if he just leveled up five times.

Nonetheless, the biggest change was actually his inventory. There were already five tabs where his items were properly organized.

Without hesitation, he checked the miscellaneous items.

Anyway, as the aroma of cooking food wafted through the shelter, Shane settled down at the makeshift dining area.

The light orb they have provided a stable light in the darkness of the night.

Nonetheless, there were still flickering torches around the area, casting shadows over the building.

Around the table sat the diverse group of survivors, that Shane had gathered for a while.

As they were seated, they started talking to Shane to report a few things and to also get advice from him…

Harper was the first one to speak with a whisper.

"You know, Shane… I've been secretly digging tunnels to expand our shelter as you instructed. But I just found some interesting veins of minerals down there. Might be useful for crafting or trading. I might need other people to help me from now on."

"Good work, Harper. We'll need those resources. Keep an eye out for anything unusual. I'll make an arrangement for the others to help" Shane replied.

Apparently, the reason Harper wasn't really focusing on mining their iron mine and mostly staying in the crafting house was because of this.

Harper had been secretly instructed to create a tunnel as their emergency escape route! This differed from the secret door they had prepared on their wooden wall!

It wasn't a secret door but a tunnel that not even many of the residents here knew about!

Anyway, now that the loyalty of the people living here would increase by 1 point per day, he would no longer have to worry about the prisoners or the super soldiers to suddenly revolt against his rule!

After noticing that Harper and Shane were already done, the Blacksmith spoke. This time, he wasn't whispering, allowing everyone else to hear their conversation.

"Shane, I've been forging weapons and repairing armor. Our defenses are stronger now. But we need more raw materials. As for the items you requested for the Starlight Silver Ore, Abyssal Iron Ore, and Phoenix Copper Ore, I would need a few more days."

"I understand, Leo. For the raw materials, just salvage what you can from our current resources. I believe that the mining speed or iron ores would increase once those three prisoners got better..." Shane replied.

He wasn't in a hurry to obtain the unique items made from those special ores because of the items he had just recently received.

Anna wasn't able to meet Shane most of the time since she was always in her small laboratory making potions or growing herbs that they might need.

Because of that, she decided to inform Shane of something important.

"Shane, I've been treating a lot of minor wounds lately. We're lucky to have some medical supplies left. But we need to find antibiotics soon."

"Right… Antibiotics... I hope the Survivor Store will have that. For now, if anyone shows symptoms, isolate them immediately." Shane replied as he silently hoped that the Strength Enhancement potions in his possession could actually help the sick in case of emergency.

Anyway, at this time, the last dish was finally served by Alexa…

"Whoa~ This looks delicious!" Gene said after seeing the hot and still-smoking meal being served to them.

"So we're having a feast today… I guess Sir Shane obtained a huge haul in the auction he attended." Lucas added.

"There's no doubt about it." Mr. Wadsworth added.

Shane just laughed it off as he would soon show them all the items he had obtained. He was sure that everyone would be ecstatic since just the MREs alone had already impressed them.

Alexa then turned to Shane after she placed the last dish she had prepared for everyone.

"Shane, I've been experimenting with flavors. Tonight's feast includes the MREs you brought, but with my secret spice blend."

Shane was certainly excited by this as he looked at the meal.

"Alexa, you're a culinary genius. Let's enjoy this rare moment. Everyone, let's eat!" Shane said to everyone.

And so, in the flickering of the torches, they ate joyfully--bound by their shared struggle and the hope that they could reclaim their world from the relentless undead.
