Chapter 247: Inscribing Runes

Yang Shi held the brush as he channeled his soul qi in the brush. The brush suddenly started to glow with a dim light. 

The lion's carving seems to have come alive as it became life like.

" Using Perception stone to use this brush is truly a waste. But since it's in my hands, I will fully utilize it." 

Yang Shi looked at the fireplace where Lin Ying had inscribed his rune formation.

A spike of metal qi appeared on his fingertip as he destroyed the rune formations.

  After that, he used his soul qi as he began inscribing the Burning Petals Rune formation.

His hands moved nimbly as runes after runes were drawn over the fireplace.

" First, Let's draw seven basic Fire runes." Yang Shi had practiced the inscription of basic Fire runes before, so this time, he quickly inscribed them.

Like a flower opening its petal, seven runes were drawn circularly. After that Yang Shi started to inscribe the rank one Burning rune in the middle.

As per the rankings of Rune masters, Apprentice grade can only draw Basic runes of five elements, with errors, of course.

Adept rankers can inscribe various sorts of Basic runes with rank one runes. The master rank cultivator can inscribe rank one rune without errors along with most rank two runes.

The Burning Petals Rune formation was an ordinary rune formation that was used in most noble households.

It may be hard for an Apprentice Rune master to inscribe one, but an Adept rank can accomplish it with much ease.

After Yang Shi had inscribed seven runes, he took a deep breath as he was about the draw the rank one rune.

" Tch, after drawing out seven Basic runes, my soul qi is almost depleted by half. Even Lin Ying can draw this in one go." Yang Shi sighed as he lamented for his damaged soul.

But he couldn't back down. A determined look appeared in his eyes as his Celestial View activated. 

Yang Shi's Azure Lotus primordial spirit slowly appeared behind him as he calmed his mind.

" Now, I need to connect all seven by Rune Binding Spirit Technique." Yang Shi mumbled.

The Rune Binding Spirit Technique is an exceptional method of rune inscription.

  With help of this method, one can inscribe Connection Rune Chains, which can connect multiple runes.

Moreover, connecting the runes, the overall power of the rune formation also increases by two folds. 

Yang Shi quickly inscribed the runic chains as the seven Basic runes connected.

And all of them were connected with the center place as well. The center place was reserved for the rank one Burning rune.

The soul qi poured in the talisman brush as Yang Shi started to inscribe the Burning rune. 

The rank one rune was at least two times more complicated than Basic runes.

Yang Shi's forehead was covered with sweat, but each of his stoke was inscribed carefully. He could feel his soul qi was diminishing rapidly, yet he didn't care about that.

At that moment, he was fully engrossed in rune inscription. His soul qi was almost finished, but Yang Shi hardened his will.

" No, I can't fail now. Just a bit, just a little bit!" 

Yang Shi gritted his teeth as he persisted. The familiar dizziness already started to affect his vision but he didn't stop.

Finally, he made a clear stroke as he suddenly slumped on the ground. Yang Shi clenched his head as his vision blared.

He held the wall as he slowly stood up, but he hurried to look at his rune formations.

  With a tap of his finger, spiritual qi was poured into the rune formation. The rune formation buzzed as the runes lit up.

Sparks flickered as lumps of flame appeared. Looking at the blazing flames Yang Shi smiled in relief.

" Success." Yang Shi clenched his fist. The runes looked more dazzling than the runes inscribed by Lin Ying.

  Yang Shi adjusted his spiritual qi, and he found that controlling the flame intensity is much smoother than he expected.

" Perfect like your usual gas stove." Yang Shi nodded with satisfaction. " There are still Freezing Rune formation and Wind Breeze Rune formations."

" But I need to rest first, My soul qi is fully depleted." Yang Shi sighed. He went upstairs and arrived on the third floor.

Jin Yu was sitting on a chair while Bai Ruxue already started cooking in the kitchen.

  Although Yang Shi asked the decorators of Hundred Gold Pavilion to renovate two floors, he didn't see them till now.

The third floor was supposed to be where they would live. The floor was replaced with costly wooden planks and the wooden pillars were hand carved. The chairs, tables were made from high quality wood.

  The bed was big enough for five to six people.

Everything was designed aesthetically beautifully. Yang Shi nodded as he felt every coin was spent accurately.

" Mm, This place looks pretty good. Ruxue, what you say?" Yang Shi asked Bai Ruxue.

" Indeed, this place is lovely." Bai Ruxue smiled.

" Wow, they even filled the shelves with vegetables and rice." Yang Shi chuckled.

" Is the food is ready yet? I am hungry!" Jin Yu pouted as she asked.

" It's ready, Little sister Jin. Come and take your seat." Bai Ruxue laughed as she called Jin Yu.

Looking at the delicious dishes in front of her, Jin Yu jumped like a hungry wolf. Yang Shi also hurried as he didn't want Jin Yu to eat all the food.

" Ruxue, Listen to me. From tomorrow, I am thinking to start my own weapon shop."

"Moreover, I will also sell elixirs. The shop will be on the second floor, so it won't disturb our private life. What do you say?" Yang Shi spoke as he put down his chopsticks.

" I don't have any opinion. I will abide what Young master will say. But I think opening a weapon hop here will be profitable." Bai Ruxue nodded.

" That's good. Let's think of a name. Have any suggestions?" Yang Shi asked.

" Domineering Sword Shop?" Jin Yu said.

" No, it's too flashy." Bai Ruxue shook her head.

" How about Blood Iron Hall?" Yang Shi suggested.

" The name sounds kind of bizarre." Jin Yu refused.

" True Treasure Pavilion?" Bai Ruxue spoke after much pondering. " Since You master will soon sell his True grade weapon, the name will be appropriate."

" True Treasure Pavilion? It sounds nice." Jin Yu nodded.

" It's decided. True Treasure Pavilion will be the name of our shop." Yang Shi agreed.

Yang Shi felt he desperately need spirit stone as the value of gold was lessening. Moreover, he still had to craft a True grade weapon yet.

" I have twelve Quasi True grade weapons, twenty high tier Spirit grade weapons, and thirty middle tier ones. I guess it will be enough for opening." Yang Shi rubbed his palms.

" I have been neglecting my cultivation for a while. Time to condense my Wood Spirit Seal." Yang Shi went to his forging room as he sat cross legged.

A green orb appeared in Yang Shi's hands as he looked at it carefully. It was precisely the Heart of Forest which he got from the auction.

A crimson ring appeared behind him as he activated his Crimson Lily primordial spirit.
