Chapter 72 Unexpected Guest
"Get up and come here," yelled Xavier to the group of youths in the corner of the dojo that were laughing between themselves.
It was Karim and his friends and they immediately sprung up and did what Xavier said, scurrying over to him.
Standing before Connor who was beside Xavier, they couldn't help but lower their heads slightly after their previous exchange, but they didn't seem to have the same respect for Xavier.
"You are all a part of the Outlaw Gang, whether directly or indirectly, and so you can't continue to be the little bitches that you are," Xavier said to them bluntly.
"Who are you...?!" one of Karim's friends retorted.
But before he could even finish, Connor grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him up into the air with ease.
"Listen to him. He's the boss and can beat me if he wasn't injured and probably still can, even with his injuries. And even if he couldn't, maintain respect," he instructed sternly before placing him back on the ground.
Connor was surprisingly intimidating, and Xavier just laughed.
"No need to scare them. They're outlaws of the Outlaw Gang, so we're all friends here. But when it comes to training, there is no such thing as friends and only hard work, so start jogging around the dojo."
Immediately, they began jogging around the pretty large dojo, and turning to Zack, who was still typing away at the computer, Xavier glared at him.
"What do you think you're doing, Zack? Join them!" he bellowed.
"M-me. But..."
"Hurry up kid," Achara said to him, as she pulled him by his collar and threw him onto the mats.
"Start running," she instructed, and he was hesitant at first, but when he saw her clench her fist, he didn't think twice, already seeing what she was capable of on the dark web.
Joining Xavier and Connor, Achara struggled not to laugh at the bunch of youths jogging around her dojo and was surprised when Xavier handed her a small bag.
"What's this?" she asked.
"Didn't you ask for a gift?"
"Oh? I was just joking and didn't think you would actually buy me one."
Taking out what was in the bag, she was surprised to find an expensive-looking perfume and there was a small testing strip to see if she liked the scent.
"If you don't like it, I can return it," he offered, but seeing how she reacted after taking a whiff, it was evident that she did.
Seeing her reaction, Xavier teased, "Well, that's good, coz you could certainly use some perfume."
"Hey! You stink much worse than me, and what's with that haircut? You look like a wannabe mobster."
"What? I thought it looked good. At least I take care of myself. Look at you. I thought you were homeless when I first saw you."
Once again, the two of them began bickering.
Meanwhile, the jogging youths were starting to get tired, especially Zack, but none of them dared to stop, afraid of what the three monsters would do to them if they did.
And after Xavier and Achara calmed down, they started yelling at the others to put in more effort.
Then, not long after, Connor and Achara ended up joining the youths to train, which forced them to work even harder.
Xavier on the other hand didn't join them to warm up and was planning on doing some light training by himself later, since his entire body was in great pain, while he also had an idea.
Taking out his phone and a slip of paper, he dialled the phone number written on the slip, and it didn't take long for the recipient to answer.
"The Unstoppable Beast I assume."
"How'd you know?"
"Unknown number that called me randomly at this time. Who else would it be? And only a few people have my phone number, anyway."
"Speedy Sam's a loner. Who'd have thought?"
"What do you want?" he asked directly, not seeming to like Xavier's jokes very much.
"I'm going to send you a location, and come now if you can."
"What for?"
"To talk and train. You said you would listen to a proposition of mine, and it would be good if we could do so now."
"Okay, I'll be there. Send me the location," he said plainly, before ending the call.
Xavier sighed, but was interested to see how such a dull and blunt character would fare amongst the ragtag bunch he had gathered, as he started with some light exercise and stretching.
About an hour later, there was a knock on the door of the dojo that was clearly closed down, and since it was also quite late, whoever was knocking was likely looking for trouble.
Or so it seemed.
Achara and Connor, who were sparring, and the others who were striking the sandbags all suddenly froze, before preparing to take on whoever it was, thinking that an enemy had shown up.
Carefully approaching the door, Achara called out that the dojo was closed, but the person merely knocked again and didn't speak.
Ushering the others to get down in case the person was armed with a gun and preparing to swiftly take them down with Connor, Achara was confused when Xavier nonchalantly walked over to the dojo of the door.
"What are you doing? Get back here. You are in no condition to fight," she urged frantically.
"Fight? I'm not going to fight anyone. It's just a friend that I invited over," he reassured her before unlocking the door to the dojo and revealing who it was.
Achara immediately recognised who it was and, surprisingly, it didn't take Zack long either.
"Speedy Sam," he uttered, recognising him from the public records of the Wild Dog Fight Club that he had looked into.
"Speedy Sam? What's he doing here...?" Achara mumbled in confusion, as she watched Xavier welcome the man inside her dojo.
She didn't know how to feel about it and was understandably on edge, but seeing how trusting and relaxed Xavier was, she didn't show any direct hostility.
But looking at Sam, he didn't seem to want to be there, and he was also quite battered after his fight against Xavier, so he didn't appear to be a great threat to them.
'Is he going to try to recruit him or what? He's always moving so quickly. I never know what to expect with him,' Achara thought to herself as she tried her best to appear friendly as Sam entered the dojo.
