Chapter 60 Boom!
Seething with rage, almost visibly steaming, the Juggernaut was on the verge of exploding after being sent tumbling across the cage and struck multiple times by Xavier.
He initially felt humiliated because he had to face a nobody that had never even fought in the Wild Dog Fight Club before, and was infuriated by his opponent's taunting and speed.
But now he had been tipped over the edge and his eyes became bloodshot, like a wild animal.
"You fucker! I'm going to kill you!" he bellowed as he charged toward Xavier, this time with even greater speed and force.
He had lost control and became very wild, no longer holding back and trying to keep his guard up.
At first, he was quite laid back despite how angry he already was, still confident and planning on taking his time with Xavier, but now he wanted to crush him more than anything.
Initially believing that it would be good that his opponent was no longer thinking straight, Xavier realised how mistaken he was when he witnessed just how fast and powerful the Juggernaut was.
As he blitzed toward Xavier, each of the Juggernaut's steps shook the entire cage and his speed was unbelievable, as he managed to grab Xavier's hood while he attempted to get away from him.
And after he did, he lifted him into the air with ease and swung him over his shoulder before slamming him onto the ground.
He almost appeared to be inhuman as he did so, smashing an averagely sized person into the ground without much effort, but Xavier also wasn't your average person.
Winded after being smashed onto the ground with much more force than Achara had managed to slam Nora onto the ground with, Xavier still managed to avoid the Juggernaut's follow up attack.
Seeking to stomp on his abdomen, which would have shattered his ribs and rattled his internal organs, the Juggernaut was surprised and amazed to see that Xavier had managed to move after being thrown with such power.
Rolling on the ground, the Juggernaut's foot narrowly missed and even managed to leave some cracks on the ground, but Xavier didn't have the time to admire his strength.
Jumping up, he backed away from his giant opponent and realised just how dangerous he was.
Pulling back up his hood even though he was wearing a mask, he wanted to ensure his identity was concealed, and it was also safer that way.
If he left his hood hanging behind him, it would be much easier to grab and Xavier had already experienced what the Juggernaut could do if he got his hands on him or his clothes once.
And definitely didn't want to be slammed into the ground a second time.
-
Tightening his hood so that the Juggernaut was less likely to be able to grab it, Xavier took deep breaths and tried to recover from being winded, but the Juggernaut wasn't planning on letting him rest.
"You see the difference between us now. No matter how fast you are and how good you are at striking, you can't beat me."
Xavier ignored him and decided to also burst toward him.
Shying away from getting close to him wouldn't work out in his favour and he also couldn't rely only on his speed and reflexes, since it seemed as though the Juggernaut could somehow overcome them with short bursts of speed.
And it wasn't like what he had been doing so far had been dealing him any substantial damage.
-
With such a large physique, under all that blubber, he surely had vast amounts of muscle, so he shouldn't be taken lightly, and size certainly was a big factor in fights.
If it wasn't, then there wouldn't be weight classes in combat sports.
However, Xavier was confident he could come out on top, and even if he is outmatched in every way possible, there is always a way to win a fight.
-
As they neared each other, both blitzing toward each other at incredible speeds, the Juggernaut went in to grab Xavier's lower body and slam into him, like an American Football tackle.
He was confused when his opponent didn't attempt to avoid his clutches, but followed through with his charge, knowing that it would be all over once they clashed.
The Juggernaut's long and thick arms closed in on Xavier's body and if they collided with the speed and force they were moving at, Xavier would surely be knocked out, and it would be impossible to avoid injury if such a thing occurred.
It would be like being struck by a small car moving at great speeds, as he was also moving towards the Juggernaut.
However, Xavier wasn't planning on allowing himself to be the one that sustained damage in their collision.
-
Less than a metre away from his opponent, while moving at great speeds, Xavier burst into the air with an explosive, upward knee strike.
The Juggernaut hadn't foreseen such a powerful sudden attack, and since he had his arms out to grab Xavier, there was no way for him to block the attack, as he was cleanly struck on the face.
Boom!
-
Charging toward Xavier with such great momentum, the Juggernaut endured a blow to the face that knocked him backwards and smashed his nose.
It was as if his nose had exploded and there was a burst of blood, but even after enduring such a mighty blow that should have knocked him out, he had still managed to grab Xavier's arm.
The strike was so powerful that it very likely cracked his skull and should have been more than enough to cause him to lose consciousness, but was still not enough to take down the Juggernaut, as Xavier felt a tight grip on his arm.
"Argh!"
A muffled cry left Xavier's mouth suddenly, in spite of how hard Xavier attempted to suppress it, and never in his wildest dreams did he think that after that blow he would still be able to fight.
-
Despite stumbling backwards after sustaining the knee strike, the Juggernaut could still muster such great strength as he tightly squeezed Xavier's forearm while twisting it.
His head was ringing and his vision had blacked out, but in a final bid to deal Xavier some damage as he fell backwards, he pulled Xavier towards him seeking to fall on top of him.
With such large and conditioned forearms, his grip on Xavier's arm was enough to cause him to cry out in pain, but to add to that, he bent it into an awkward position and fell on top of it.
Thankfully he hadn't managed to completely pull Xavier under him, which would have been much worse for him, but the Juggernaut still managed to get the last laugh.
