Chapter 186: An Ensemble of Heroes

The imperial capital, Stellarsky City, wasn’t located in the middle of the continent; instead, it was located into the north—at the borders of the Northern Liang Kingdom and the Northern Mang Kingdom.

The Stellarsky City was normally not given access to the public, and commoners were basically not allowed inside; it would only be opened up during Kingdom Wars. The Stellarsky City was bustling with excitement today. Participating martial artists from all the six vassal states were gathered in the central plaza of the Stellarsky City.

After Jiang Yi and the rest had been teleported here, they didn’t go strolling leisurely. It was even more unlikely that they would look for an inn to reside in. The Kingdom War was about to start right away.

Participants from various kingdoms were almost completely gathered. Jiang Yi did a quick analysis and estimated that there was a similar number of participants from all six vassal states. The North Liang Kingdom had slightly a little more, which was around 20,000. The Great Xia Kingdom had the least amount of martial artists, less than 10,000. It was obvious that the Great Xia Kingdom had yet to recover from the Western Garrison Liege Lord’s massacre over a dozen years ago.

The martial artists from the six vassal states stood in their respective formation groups; those that weren’t participating automatically walked to the side and observed. Qian Wanguan, Zhan Lin’er, those mentors, and Principal Qi had already segregated themselves by standing on the side, waiting for the members of the imperial city to appear and begin the Kingdom War.

Jiang Yi silently observed the martial artists from the various kingdoms. He noticed that the Great Xia Kingdom, the Divine Martial Kingdom, and the Saint Spirit Kingdom all had similar attires. The people from the Heaven Mystics Kingdom had these peculiar attires. The witches wore bright-colored robes which had weird symbols on it. There were also the barbarian clansmen like Ah Ni, who wore beast-pelted battle armors on their massive bodies.

The Northern Liang Kingdom and the Northern Mang Kingdom were slightly taller in stature when compared to the other kingdoms. They all preferred the warring armors and were like an army that numbered in tens of thousands, releasing the biting-cold killing aura.

“The Northern Liang Kingdom and the Northern Mang Kingdom are located in the bitter cold places. The martial artists over there had this habit from a young age... entering the Wide Chill Ice Plains to have a Blood Purge. Hence, their combat strengths are generally formidable. You have to be careful when you meet the martial artists from these two kingdoms! There is another thing: Azure Dragon College’s cadets are within the Northern Mang Kingdom while the cadets from the Centaurea College are in the Saint Spirit Kingdom.”

Zhan Wushuang used a soft voice to brief Jiang Yi. He swept his eyes over the Heaven Mystics Kingdom’s army on the left and said with a severe tone, “You have already witnessed the witchcraft of Princess Yun Fei from the Heaven Mystics Kingdom. It would be wise to avoid their witches; otherwise, you might die without knowing the reason why. In the previous minor Kingdom War, the first ranker was a witch from the Heaven Mystics Kingdom. I heard that she killed at least 10,000 martial artists...”

Jiang Yi nodded and spoke with a serious tone, “Wushuang, you have to be careful as well. You may have a few dozen men with you, but a Young Master from a great aristocratic clan like this would definitely be on the killing list in other kingdoms!”

“Ke-Ke!”

Zhan Wushuang let out a prideful laugh and spoke as though it wasn’t a problem, “Don’t you worry. I might not have the certainty to get the first rank, but I am absolutely sure that I can survive. The descendant of the Battle God race isn’t someone you can kill if you wanted to.”

“Buzz!”

Right at this moment, one of the teleportation arrays on the plaza lit up. Jiang Yi and Zhan Wushuang looked over, only to have their eyes turn cold.

The ones who arrived was an entire group of women. They were all wearing green battle armors and wielding green longswords. There was about 50 of them, and apart from one individual, the rest were all at the Soul Travel Realm. The strongest of them was at the fourth stage of Soul Travel Realm.

“Wow!”

When this group of women appeared, there was an uproar in the entire plaza of Stellarsky City. Majority of the people knew of the origin of this group, and they had expected them to be participating in the Kingdom War. They didn’t expect for so many of them to participate, and all of them had such strength.

The Beauty Legion of the Water Moon Observatory!

The Water Moon Observatory had never accepted male disciples ever, even the Observatory Hostess was a female. Females might be innately inferior to males in terms of physical prowess, which was why throughout the Stellarsky Continent’s history, nearly all the no.1 combatants were males. After the Water Moon Observatory appeared, they had broken this law of nature. Every generation’s Observatory Hostess would certainly be the top ten martial experts of the continent while this generation’s Shui Youlan looked down upon all heroes and was unparalleled.

“Shui Qianrou!”

Many of the young masters fixed their eyes on the little beauty that was surrounded by women in green battle armors and felt as though their eyes were blazing up. This pampered and barbaric girl might have a notorious temperament, but she already had the looks that could cause kingdoms and cities to fall; and she had yet to even develop fully. Her mother was the continent’s no.1. If anyone was to take her, he would be the continent’s first man to rise like a phoenix! There was an immediate esteemed status as the son-in-law of the continent’s no.1 combatant. Who would dare to look down on him? Who would dare to kill him?

“Jiang Yi, she is an individual with ill intentions!”

Zhan Wushuang narrowed his eyes that were filled with worry. Jiang Yi’s expression was also rather serious. It was no wonder why he didn’t see Shui Qianrou in the royal capital; she went to bring over her legion from the Starfall Island. Moreover, he had ruined her Spirit Sparrow Robe previously, but now she had a new one? He might not know if it was the same kind of saint artifact like the Spirit Sparrow Robe, but it was obviously an absolute artifact, too.

Shui Qianrou led her legion and walked out from the teleportation array with pride. She took a glance around and quickly locked onto Jiang Yi who was in Divine Martial Kingdom’s army. She paused and spoke without any kind of restraint, “Jiang Yi! Very well! If this Young Lady allows you to leave the Kingdom War alive, I, Shui Qianrou, will take up your family name!”

“Wow!”

There was a disturbance in the entire area, and countless eyes cast their sight on Jiang Yi. They looked at Jiang Yi as though he was a dead man. Offending her was the same as offending the innumerable young masters from great clans that wanted to pursue her. Jiang Yi was going to enter this Kingdom War surrounded by enemies from all sides.

“Ke-Ke!”

Jiang Yi rubbed his nose and went ahead to press his luck. Since he was already entering the Kingdom War with enemies, he wouldn’t be backing out now. He let out a sneer and talked back without restraint as well. “Shui lass, you better pray that you don’t meet me. If not, this Young Master will strip off your clothes and hang them on a tree!”

“Huh...”

Jiang Yi’s voice was neither loud nor soft, but it was enough for everyone on the plaza to hear it clearly. Many of the women suddenly blushed while there was a dense killing intent coming from the innumerable young masters. Shui Qianrou was so angry that she almost jolted up. If not for the individuals from the Water Moon Observatory, she was probably going to make her move in the Stellarsky City.

“Buzz!”

Right at this moment, a giant teleportation array lit up again, attracting everyone’s attention. Jiang Yi had this flabbergasted expression the moment he took a quick glance. He blinked his eyes and asked, “Wushuang, this group of people is also participating in the Kingdom War?”

“En!”

Zhan Wushuang nodded and replied, “The Great Zen Monastery doesn’t participate in the major Kingdom Wars, but they would always participate in the minor Kingdom Wars. They don’t kill people and only snatch medals. As long as you hand over your medal, they would disregard you.”

“Why would they enter if they aren’t killing anyone...?”

Jiang Yi rolled his eyes and looked at those monks that came in through the teleportation. There was this young monk who was 16 or 17 years of age, who was looking at him with an innocent smile. He looked just like a child that was inexperienced. Jiang Yi thought that if this little monk went in and saw corpses and severed limbs, wouldn’t he be crying from the hell-like scene?

“Ke-Ke. Jiang Yi, you better don’t underestimate this little monk.”

Zhan Wushuang leaned over and whispered, “This little monk is the Abbot’s last disciple. He is unbounded by dharma and is rumored to be the rare prodigy of the Great Zen Monastery that appears every 10,000 years. His strength is most definitely concealed with some special methods. According to my clan’s resources, his strength is at least at the Hinayana Zen Realm, which is also the Soul Travel Realm...”

“So aggressive?”

Jiang Yi was silently shocked. This little monk looked younger than him and had this harmless smile. His little eyes were curiously looking and observing everything. He was most definitely nothing that looked like a Soul Travel Realm martial expert.

“Pong, Pong, Pong...!”

Heavy footsteps could be heard from the north. Most of the people turned to look over there, and so did Zhan Wushuang, who promptly pushed at Jiang Yi’s shoulder. “The people from the imperial clan are coming. The Kingdom War is about to start!”
