Chapter 165: Florida Man Follows His Ancestor’s Footstep by Touring Chornobyl Unprotected, Returning Home With Toxic Rocks, and Selling Them on Amazon
After a refreshing bath, a little stress relief, and a lavish dinner, Felix returned his attention to the urgent matter. He called over Jiji.
"Have you met your mother?" Asked Felix.
"Ah, yes. I was surprised to see her on our island. How did you tame her… Never mind. I shouldn't have asked."
Jiji mischievously grinned and covered her mouth with her hand. As she had been with Felix for a while, she understood his charm and his ability to fall or break any woman.
As they were thinking about Diana, the person in question slithered from the top floor to see them. She wore a set of maid bikinis as Jiji did, but her version was pink instead of black.
"Did you call me, my king…? Oh, my. You look mature. What did you do?"
Felix ignored the question and focused on his urgent matter, "I'm in need of information and geographic knowledge. Is there any place similar to the Black Forest? I mean, I'm looking for another strategic site, such as mines, oil deposits, mineral deposits, or the like."
Diana tilted her head and looked at her daughter. She smirked, "You should have asked my daughter that question."
Jiji nodded, "If you're looking for a place to build a mine or a quarry, we have one on our island."
"Oh?"
Felix was surprised. He rubbed his hands, excited.
"Can you show me the place? I need to complete a new main quest."
"Sure, master."
Thus, the entire family left the house, journeying west to the mountainous section where Felix had encountered goat monsters.
…
As this expedition required keen observation, Felix decided to drive there instead of flying. Jiji squeezed into the back of his truck while Diana simply escorted them by air.
Along the way, Felix asked Jiji.
"Did your mother trouble you or anything?"
"No, why do you ask, master?"
"I thought you and your mother didn't get along."
As Jiji didn't hesitate to leave her mother to be with him, Felix had the impression that Jiji hated her mother. Diana also didn't seem to care about her daughter when Felix stayed in the Lamia cave.
Jiji shrugged, "We may be mother and daughter, but we rarely speak and share bonds. I'm more like a tool to her, and she is like a superior officer than a mother."
"Oh, I see. Are you disappointed that I brought her along?"
"No. I'm glad you took her in. She will be a powerful asset to our defensive force. It also raises your status in the tribe that you're powerful enough to tame our former queen. From now on, those girls will think twice before they try to seduce you."
Again, Felix was surprised by Jiji's open-mindedness. He wondered if it was the local culture or if it was her personal preference.
Jiji continued, "I also need a mentor to expand my spell knowledge and mastery. She comes at the perfect time. I was having trouble with some advanced water spells. With her guidance, I should be able to increase my mana heart to the seventh circle or so."
"…I hope you two will get along."
Jiji lewdly smiled, "Don't worry, master. Bring us to your bed tonight and partake of us at the same time. We WILL improve our bonds… physically and mentally."
"…"
Sometimes, Felix wondered if Jiji was the reason why he got addicted to the cuddling activities.
…
Traveling for an hour, Felix stopped at the foot of a tall cliff and got out of the truck. Diana continued flying, exploring the top of the cliff. As for Jiji, she leaped off the back and quickly scanned the area, disappearing into the tall grasses and shrubs.
A minute later, Diana slithered down the cliff and brought over two giant boulders. She put them in front of Felix and lightly knocked them, cracking them into smaller pieces.
Upon crumbling, dust flew. Diana waved her hand, creating a gale of cold air and sweeping the dust away. She leaned over, picked a few pieces of rock, and showed them to Felix.
"Do these ores suit your likings, my king?"
Felix observed the mineral in Diana's hands. In her left hand was a red gemstone, similar to ruby. However, it emitted strange rainbow light and produced ear-piercing noise.
On her left hand, a black gemstone stood out. Instead of producing strange light, it absorbed light. It reminded him of Singtowl, whose body absorbed light as if it were a humanoid version of a black hole.
"Let me check."
Felix turned his attention to his status menu. He exchanged crude oil for mana, increasing his level once again. However, due to the limited storage, Felix couldn't increase his level to the max.

Three additional levels unlocked 15 more inventory slots, which was more than enough to store these mysterious gemstones and appraise them. He stored both red and black stones in his inventory and read their description.
…
Raw Yang Ore
This piece of iron has accumulated fire mana inside that it changes properties. Upon touching clear air, it releases its accumulated energy as yang radiation.
Top craftsmen or blacksmiths can substitute this with any metal to create a special weapon or armor. However, due to its radiation, it may mutate the creator's DNA or kill him.
Effects:
- When used as a material for armor, add a spell negation effect.
- When used as a material for a weapon, add a deathly poison effect.
- When used as a material for construction parts, add a heater effect.
- When used as a material for miscellaneous parts, add a spell resistance effect.
- When used as a material for a formation array, add an auto-curse effect.
…
Raw Yin Ore
This piece of iron has accumulated the power of the cursed moons that it transforms into a part of it. This ore continuously absorbs mana, heat, aura, Qi, and any form of energy to grow bigger. Do not hold this ore for too long or it will start consuming your lifespan and energy.
Due to its powerful absorption ability, it can be sold at a high price in any immortal market. Craftsmen are willing to kill to get their hands on one as they can craft energy-stealing weapons or spell negation armors with them.
Effects:
- When used as a material for armor, add a spell absorption effect.
- When used as a material for a weapon, add a life force stealing effect.
- When used as a material for construction parts, add a cooler effect.
- When used as a material for miscellaneous parts, add an auto repair effect.
- When used as a material for a formation array, add an automatic energy suction effect.
…
Both seemed interesting. However, they were hazardous items. Sending people to mine here would cause a lot of health issues in the long run, especially the stone with radiation effects.
While Felix pondered what to do, Jessica snooped Felix's inventory and nodded.
<This reminds me of the old legends. Rumor said that your ancestor was a walking Chornobyl when he was young. If you wish to become as strong as the progenitor, you should sleep on Yin and Yang Ores often.>
Hearing Jessica's comment, Felix was taken aback.
"Are you crazy?! Those stones contain radiation, you know?!"
<Mana is also another form of hidden radiation. Earth's scientists and technologies are not advanced enough to discover this.>
"…"
Felix paused and adjusted his mindset. He rechecked the ores, wondering if he should build a quarry here to complete the quest or if should he search for a safer option.
While Felix was in deep thought, Jiji returned. She carried a whole shrub, which had sprouted strange yellowish fruits.
"Master, I've found this. If I remember correctly, these are dragon cherries. Drakes and dragons eat these when they are young to build up body mass and strengthen their scales. If we can grow these, our people can grow strong scales like dragons!"
Felix was surprised to see something absurd in his territory. He called Jiji over.
"Bring it here. Let me check."
Felix put one of the gold cherries in his inventory to appraise it.
…
Blessed Cherry
This cherry can only grow on plants, which underwent a mutation due to the cursed moons. Every cherry gives boosts to the consumer, allowing one to grow strong skin or scales. If a regular human consumes one of these, they can either grow dragon scales or toughen their skin.
Effects: When consumed, toughen the consumer's skin, create scales, or strengthen the existing scales.
…
Felix compared both resources. He believed that blessed cherry farms were a better and safer option. However, when he thought of the ore's utilities, he couldn't abandon it.
Diana and Jiji looked at each other. The latter raised an eyebrow in gesture while the former grinned. Upon coming to their understanding, Diana suggested, "You're looking for strategic resource sites to complete your quest, right? Why don't you be a little overachiever and take both?"
"Both?" Felix didn't think that far. Realizing that he could simply build a farm and a quarry without hindering each other, he smacked his forehead. "My brain freezes again. Thanks for the reminder, Diana."
"Anytime, my king."
With a clear goal in mind, Felix opened the shopping menu, searching for a related system building.
