Chapter 355 Dubai city painting
In a bright, shadowless corridor, Lein's group continued walking calmly. The female officer at the front led the way, moving with a polished and professional demeanor. The light in the corridor was so bright that every corner was clearly visible, giving a modern and sterile impression.
Along the way, they passed several operational rooms of the Alliance. Inside these rooms, there was a flurry of activity; alliance staff were busy operating their devices, while some appeared engaged in serious discussions.
Occasionally, an officer would step out of a room, pause briefly to offer a respectful greeting to Aleron and his group, then bow more deeply toward Lein. Lein acknowledged each greeting with a slight nod, exuding the friendliness and authority of a leader.
After walking for a while, the female officer leading the way suddenly stopped in front of a large door with a shiny metallic frame. The door appeared sturdy, with a futuristic design that conveyed its importance. The officer stood straight and began a series of meticulous procedures.
First, her body was scanned by a bright blue beam emanating from a panel above the door. The process lasted only a few seconds but was enough to demonstrate the high security of the location. She then took a small ID card from her pocket and pressed it against the panel beside the door. A soft sound was heard, and the large door slowly opened, revealing the room behind it.
"Mr. Lein, Mr. Aleron, we have arrived. Please, come in," said the officer politely, bowing slightly to show her respect.
Lein nodded and gracefully gestured toward the door. "After you, Mr. Aleron," he said, inviting his guest to enter first.
Aleron gave a faint smile before stepping past Lein with composure. The elders behind him followed in silence.
Once everyone had entered, Lein followed suit, walking toward the door at his usual relaxed pace. His gaze briefly fell on the small nameplate on the female officer's chest. "Thank you, Lina," said Lein warmly.
Lina, hearing his words, felt her heart race. Lein, the Guardian of this Realm, had just called her by name and thanked her. For a moment, her mind wandered, imagining the pride she would feel when sharing this story with her family later. By the time she regained her senses, Lein was no longer in front of her, and the large door had closed.
Inside the spacious meeting room, Lein began a brief introduction. "The front part of this room is designed for large gatherings. The stage is equipped with various visual technologies to facilitate presentations," Lein explained, pointing toward the stage at the center of the room.
Aleron and the elders listened attentively. While the technology wasn't entirely unfamiliar to them, its presentation was intriguing. They had seen more advanced devices in other realms, but the programmed use of such technology remained relevant. This room, with its futuristic atmosphere, gave the impression that the Alliance under Lein combined efficiency with aesthetics.
Not only was the technology impressive, but the room was also adorned with various pieces of art that inspired awe. Right at the entrance stood a large dragon statue, intricately carved with outspread wings and a majestic expression. Further inside, statues of humans in various poses adorned the walls, as if they were silent guardians of the bright light emanating from the room.
Among the statues, large paintings depicting scenes from Earth caught the guests' attention. Each painting was carefully placed, creating harmony between art and the room's design. One painting, portraying a nighttime view of Dubai with its glittering lights, made Aleron pause briefly.
"Is this what your planet looked like before entering Aeitheris?" Aleron asked curiously, his eyes focused on the details of the tall buildings in the painting.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Yes, that's correct, Mr. Aleron," Lein replied as he approached the painting. "This view depicts a night in a city called Dubai. It was one of the top ten most visited tourist destinations in the world."
"From all over the world? A holy city?" Aleron asked with a tone of comparison, clearly trying to relate it to concepts familiar in the cosmos.
Lein gave a small smile, suppressing a laugh. "Well, you could say that," he finally said. Inwardly, he couldn't imagine the reaction of Earth's inhabitants if they heard Dubai being referred to as a holy city.
After the brief explanation, Lein guided the group to the center of the room. There stood a long table capable of seating up to a hundred people. The polished surface of the table reflected the light, creating a formal and elegant atmosphere. Lein took a seat at the head of the table, followed by Aleron, who sat to his left. The elders then took their seats in an orderly manner.
"An elegant building, Mr. Lein. Your architectural style is truly unique," Aleron remarked, complimenting the overall design of the World Market Trade Alliance building.
Lein detected sincerity in Aleron's tone. While he didn't call it the best, the word "unique" was enough to express appreciation for the creativity in architecture that was rarely encountered in the universe.
"Hahaha... yes, this building was designed by many skilled experts," Lein replied, nodding lightly. He himself had felt a similar sense of awe when he first saw the building completed.
"That's quite common, Mr. Lein," Aleron continued with a small smile. "With such rapid development, I'm confident that in less than a hundred thousand years, the Divine Sky Realm could become one of the higher-level realms."
Lein smiled politely at the compliment. "You flatter us, Mr. Aleron," he said humbly. However, curiosity began to arise in his mind about the concept of higher-level realms that Aleron mentioned.
"No, my feelings are never wrong," Aleron replied with full confidence. His gaze carried a firm conviction, as if he could see a future yet to unfold.
Lein decided not to delve further into the topic. For him, whether Aleron's prediction was correct or not, time would provide the answer.
In his heart, Lein didn't want this journey to take that long. Hundreds of thousands of years felt like an almost unimaginable span of time, even with his current understanding of time's concept. While he understood that significant progress required patience, the idea of waiting that long still weighed on his mind.
