Chapter 59 Help
"Not bad, not bad at all." Nydan clapped his hands together contentedly with a slight smirk on his face, "You've mastered your new powers pretty quickly. How are you feeling?"
Ena took a deep breath and said, "Fine. The reward you gave me was worth all the agony I had to endure. I used to try to attack similar knights, but they easily defeated me, but now, it's completely different."
Nydan nodded contentedly as he folded his arms into his sleeves.
"Zayne... You may have defeated the Leader of the Black Wing and already gained some fame, but this was true power!!! You can never reach my level again!" Ena exclaimed with an excited expression as she turned to the cage where Zayne was.
Ena, like most players, entered Fallen Fate Online with hopes of becoming the best. However, she hadn't succeeded, until this moment and now she had a chance to brag to someone who had already taken all the attention to himself.
"What the hell...?" Ena's eyes went wide as a shiver ran through her body because of the look Zayne was giving her.
Zayne's blue eyes shone brightly in the midst of the darkness, sending a strange pressure to Ena. Even though Zayne was in a cage, Ena felt uncomfortable as if Zayne was ready to slay her at any moment.
pαndα,noνɐ1,сoМ "Killed a group of people and you're trying to praise it? If that's what you call true power, why would I even try to reach your level? You're no better than that bandit you brought here, no, you're even worse." Zayne said coldly while every word he spoke went through Ena's mind.
"Shut up! Don't you dare teach me morals! You ended up here because you possess the Blood Aura too, don't you?!" Ena exclaimed as she looked at Nydan.
Nydan nodded, "Yeah, you're right." Then Nydan looked at Zayne and thought, 'Hmm... This guy has a steel temper, he's absolutely confident in his position... Agh... What a pity. Unlike this obedient fool girl, there's no way I can submit him, even though he's a damn interesting person.'
"Pfff, I'm not going to listen to anything from someone who betrayed his friends without a second thought. I'm not saying I did not kill, but I had my reasons, not just a desire for profit like you." Zayne snorted arrogantly, which pissed Ena off.
"Mr. Nydan, the knights are done, so maybe it's time we drained all the energy out of Zayne?" Ena asked with a devious smile on her face.
Nydan looked at Zayne, then at the knights' bodies, and calmly said, "Fine. Move the knights to the left side of the magic circle. We have nowhere to hurry, no one else will come here, that's for sure. Zayne has the most blood energy here, so I'll leave him for last."
Ena frowned as she wanted to kill Zayne. She didn't personally dislike him that much, but if she did, it would slow Zayne's progress considerably. Zayne didn't realize it, but to people like Ena, he was a major competitor and she had a real opportunity to stop him.
"Is something wrong?" Nydan glanced at her.
"No, I'll do it now." Ena shook her head.
Crackle. Crackle. Crackling.
Ena threw the knights' bodies against each other, making a loud metallic sound from their armor, then Nydan activated the magic circle again.
The energy from the knights was directed toward those who were seriously wounded. The bird gradually absorbed all the energy as its wounds quickly healed.
"Mr. Nydan... May I have some of this energy?" Ena asked uncertainly as she pressed her palm to her chest.
"RARK!" Fourth-Winged barked at her as if realizing that Ena wanted to take its power.
"Well... That's impossible. Not with this magic circle. Don't worry, when we're done here and back to my main base, I'll reward you properly. Just follow me and obey my orders, that's all you have to do." Nydan waved his hand irritably.
Ena nodded.
"Now stand quietly aside and don't bore me. Your yelling wasn't pleasant at all, my ears were practically starting to hurt." Nydan said coldly, continuing to drain the energy out of the knights.
Ena gulped when she got goosebumps. She couldn't act in front of Nydan as brashly as she had with Zayne.
"Rark! Rark! Rark!" Fourth-Winged began to get bigger as its three eyes shone brightly, causing Nydan to smile broadly.
"Very well! Let's go! You can evolve again! I've given you enough energy!" Nydan exclaimed in excitement.
'Hmm... I didn't expect to have to wait this long. Maybe I should use this.' Zayne pondered when a white coin appeared in his palm for a second. He didn't have access to his inventory, but one thing he could use at any moment.
Crackle.
Suddenly there was a whistle as if from wind currents as a bright sheen emerged from one passage, moving swiftly forward.
At the same moment, the Fourth-Winged head was pierced by a massive arrow with a crystal tip that emerged from the bird's open beak.
Nydan's eyes went wide as he immediately looked at Zayne as if realizing that he had something to do with it.
"Hah, looks like it's my turn to smirk now, doesn't it? Though it took longer than I expected, the help came just in time!" Zayne said cheerfully with a glance at the passageway from which a silhouette emerged at great speed.
Whooooooooooooosh.
The massive sword came down on Nydan in an instant, almost immediately reaching his neck. In front of Nydan, appeared Ena, who blocked this attack with two daggers, struggling to handle the pressure.
"Girl, this is not your level!" Roland exclaimed furiously as his knee collapsed into Ena's stomach, causing her eyes to go wide with pain.
"Commander! Again!" Elin exclaimed as her eyes sparkled. She watched with pleasure as Roland fought.
Roland breathed, then his sword like a flash headed toward Ena, intending to cut her in two.
Tap.
Nydan grabbed Ena sharply by the shoulder, pulling her back slightly as the razor-sharp blade of the sword swept right in front of her face.
'Shit! What am I doing?!' Ena came to her senses as she jumped aside, as well as Nydan.
"Zayne! We've come to save you!" Elin smiled, waving her hand lightly.
Nydan looked at Roland and when he saw his face as well as the red feather sign on his armor, his eyes went wide.
"Shit... You're Roland, right?" Nydan asked uncertainly as for the first time in a long time there wasn't a confident smirk on his face.
"Yes. That's me, but... who are you? I haven't heard of such a disgusting warlock showing up anywhere near Red Feather City." Roland frowned while his sharp gaze looked around.
He could clearly see the bodies of the knights, the corpses of the monsters as well as the terrified girls locked in their cages. His gaze caught a faint glint from the black ring that lay on the table, not far from Zayne.
'Zayne can't seem to get out of the cage by himself... Well, now that we're here, we'll help him. This warlock looks strong, but he can hardly handle us.' Roland pondered as a plan of action emerged in his mind.
