Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 76 : Su Yen helplessness in the desert.

The next day.

The arid desert was somewhat cold today. The dry air was moist, and the breeze was fresher. The hundreds of thousands of soldiers marched with new vigor.

They looked at the quiet desert in pride. This used to be the home of the Desert Sand Men, but they defeat them.

Even though none of them knew where they were going, they knew it must be related to the mysterious ancient city.

Meanwhile, the enthusiasm on the faces of the soldiers couldn't be found on the faces of the various battalion commanders.

It was like each of them had eaten flies.

They were quiet with stoic expressions.

"Commander, what's going on?" The vice commander of the cavalry unit asked with a puzzled expression.

"Your horse riding training has just doubled. Get back in line," Biyu commanded with a stern face.

'What!' All cavalrymen looked at the easy-going commander in shock.

The middle-aged man froze for a moment before he quickly controlled his horse to join the line.

The soldiers exchanged subtle glances, wondering what the hell was wrong.

The various murmurs among the soldiers quickly disappeared into thin air.

They realized things were even more serious than yesterday.

Not to be on the bad side of their commander, everyone chose to keep quiet.

Yesterday, after Su Yen left, Su Ming had a little chat with the commanders, and the chat was not so pleasant at all.

It was yesterday they realized the burden they carried as battalion commanders.

Apart from worrying about failing the mission, they must try to ensure the lives of their soldiers.

If perhaps the death count of their men reached a certain threshold and they completed the mission, it would be deemed a failure.

The penalty of failure was one any of them could bear. Therefore, every one of them had sleepless nights yesterday, thinking of how to make their battalions better.

In the air, Su Yen on the back of the Blue Wing Eagle was searching for the previous mysterious ancient city.

Due to yesterday's sandstorm, the location of the city had long been buried in dunes.

After searching the area where he thought the city was previously.

He attacked with a casual punch.

Boom!

Dust rose to the sky, and a deep crack appeared on the dunes.

He controlled Blue Wing to go down and jumped from its back.

He looked at the crack for a moment and creased his brow. 'This must be the place. I can't be wrong.'

He increased attacking power and attacked one more time.

Boom!

The crack in the ground spread further, pushing sand to one side.

However, he failed to see anything related to the city.

Realizing it was also a failure, Su Yen became impatient and took out his sword.

He swung his sword diagonally, cleaving the dunes into two for a couple of hundreds of meters.

Looking at the sharp sword attack and how deep the crack was, Su Yen believed he would find the city.

He followed the crack for a couple of seconds, and behold, he saw something that looked like a city wall deep in the crack.

Su Yen was stunned. If he didn't attack and chose to let the troop find the city.

Perhaps, they would find it in months.

'Even though the sand demon was dead, it still wants to bury everything with him.' Su Yen clicked his tongue at how ruthless the sand demon was.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Shaking his head, he called Su Ming and told him the location of the city before jumping on the eagle and departed.

In front of the troop, after Su Ming received Su Yen's call. He shouted.

"Increase speed."

Immediately, the troops increased and rushed toward the heart of the desert.

As for Su Yen, he sat on the Blue Wing Eagle, traveling at a breathtaking speed over the desert.

After traveling for an hour, Su Yen didn't even see traces of three small oases in the western part of the desert.

'Is it possible for the sand demon to lie to me?' He thought in confusion.

After all, he was using a flying mount. What if he was using a horse? He would be lost before he found the hidden resources.

'System, is it possible the sand demon is lying?' He couldn't help but ask the system.

[Ding!]

[Impossible. Even though this is a mortal heaven, it's not something a mere demon dare to trick.]

Hearing this, Su Yen didn't know what to say. He had been traveling over a thousand miles of yellow sand without seeing a single human in sight.

Moreover, he didn't find a trace of what he was looking for.

Sighed. He shook his head and continued to search. 'Since the sand demon is not lying. Then, it must be around here.'

'Besides, how big is the desert that I've seen the end.'

Unbeknownst to him, he was in the peripheral outer region of the desert. He was millions of miles from seeing the end of the desert.

After traveling for another couple of hours, Su Yen was mentally exhausted and commanded Blue Wing to land.

Standing at the center of an endless desert, Su Yen didn't know how to react.

The endless dunes almost made him go insane. 'Fuck! Where the hell is the three small oasis?' He shouted in his mind.

He took a jug of water from his storage ring and gulped it continuously.

Likewise, he looked at the tired eagle and threw some reserved meat to it from his storage.

Blue Wing was excited and said in a feminine voice. "Thank you."

"So you've decided to talk," Su Yen said with a slight shock in his voice.

Blue Wing rolled its eyes and looked at Su Yen for a couple of seconds before feasting on its meat.

Su Yen and his mount sat quietly on a dune, each person doing their thing.

"Have you been to the desert before?" Su Yen suddenly asked.

"No…" Blue Wing shook its head. "Every beast race must stay in their territory, and only on a rare occasion can we enter other territory."

"I see…" A look of realization appeared on Su Yen's face. He realized the monsters were more disciplined than the humans.

Just as the human and beast were resting, a couple of hundred meters from them. The dune shifted slowly, revealing a terrifying beast.
