Eternal life begins with saving my clan

Chapter 112 : Dealing with the vassal clan - Traces of the Blood Whisperer.

In the barren land, life continued seemingly undisturbed, as if the recent confrontation with the young master and young miss from the main land had been of little consequence.

However, what truly captured the attention of every inhabitant was the monstrous power exhibited by Huang Yin.

The shockwaves of her strength reverberated throughout the barren land, leaving all the clans in awe.

The revelation that the barren land's beloved goddess was a Foundation Building realm cultivator sent shockwaves through the clans.

It was a revelation they had not anticipated, and it stirred them to their very core. The patriarchs and matriarchs of all the clans, who may not have taken cultivation as seriously as they should have, suddenly realized that they were being left behind.

If the Huang clan could produce a Foundation Building realm expert, then what about the ultimate authority: the Celestial Heavenly Sect?

In response to this realization, the barren land was swept up in a cultivation frenzy.

Citizenship registrations were in full swing, and the construction of the black nine-level pagoda proceeded day and night. According to the sect master, it must be completed within a month.

In the main hall of the Celestial Heavenly Sect, Sect Master Su Yen sat on his throne, his gaze sweeping over the vassal clans.

He was well aware of the fear and unease that had gripped the clans due to the rampaging attacks of the Blood Whisperers.

If the sect had been too strong, some vassal clans might have considered withdrawing.

He turned his attention to the Chu patriarch and asked, "How is your clan faring?"

"Thank you for asking, we're doing okay. Your support has been invaluable," the Chu patriarch replied respectfully. In the presence of Sect Master Su Yen, he dared not show any grievances.

He knew that some remaining clan elders were quietly blaming the sect for their misfortunes, but they had willingly chosen to become vassals of the Celestial Heavenly Sect.

"I understand your fear, but there is no need to worry. After all, we are not the cause of the Blood Whisperers' rampage," Su Yen said, his tone measured.

The eight vassal clans, who had heard this, sighed in agreement. They knew it was not the sect's fault, yet they couldn't help but harbor some resentment in their hearts.

However, Su Yen's expression changed, becoming more solemn. "You cannot expect to ride on the fame of the sect and not anticipate challenges for your clans. Blaming us for your troubles is not the solution."

The atmosphere in the hall shifted as an oppressive force seemed to emanate from Su Yen, dispelling all the misgivings in their hearts.

They were on the brink of provoking a tyrant king, and the clan patriarchs knew it.

Their breathing grew shallow, and they sat upright, their faces tense. The weight of the oppressive silence hung heavily in the air as none dared to make a sound.

"We are not your babysitters. You willingly became vassals, and you must be prepared to face the consequences," Su Yen continued with a solemn expression.

"If you are afraid, you can withdraw now," he added, his voice laced with a subtle threat.

A suffocating silence enveloped the hall as everyone held their breath, unwilling to meet Su Yen's eyes. Beads of sweat gathered on their foreheads, and their palms grew clammy.

The clan patriarchs had come to a stark realization: the tranquil exterior of Sect Master Su Yen was but a facade. He was a man of ruthless determination who would not hesitate to eliminate them should they become unreasonable.

"I-I'm sorry if we angered you, Sect Master," the Xu clan patriarch stammered as he rose to his feet, his voice trembling.

"Angry?" Su Yen chuckled and shook his head. "If I were angry, you wouldn't be standing there talking to me."

The realization of what those words implied sent a shiver down the spines of the clan masters, and they dared not even blink in his presence. Su Yen paid no heed to their reaction.

"Do not let this happen again. Your fates are bound to the sect, and you must readily accept that," he said casually, his gaze shifting to business matters.

"Now, let's get down to business," he continued, waving his hand to indicate that the Xu patriarch should sit.

"Being vassal clans may have its dangers at times, but it also has its merits. There are many islands surrounding the barren land, and we need to take control of them before the outlanders arrive," Su Yen stated with a serious tone.

"The Chu clan will be dispatched to the Crystal Island," he declared.

Hearing this, a radiant smile illuminated the face of the Chu patriarch. He wanted to burst into laughter but maintained his composure as he stood and bowed. "Thank you for your benevolence."

Observing the deep satisfaction on the Chu clan leader's face, envy washed over the other vassal clan leaders. When would they have a similar opportunity?

While they were consumed by their jealousy, Su Yen continued to assign each of the eight vassal clans to one of the nearby islands in the southern sea.

Instantly, happiness permeated the atmosphere, and broad smiles adorned the faces of all the clan masters.

They had come to realize that becoming a sect vassal clan had been one of their wisest decisions.

The previous grievances had been swept aside, and now, going to these islands meant they would be more than just clan leaders – they would be island lords.

As he looked at the joy on their faces, Su Yen couldn't help but shake his head. Human nature, he mused.

In the face of danger, they were quick to blame the sect, but now, they were brimming with gratitude.

"Although you are now island chiefs, don't assume it ends there. There will be an annual ranking among you.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

The last two will be forced to leave the islands, while those who perform exceptionally well will receive greater rewards or be relocated to more advantageous positions."

Just as Su Yen was concluding his discussions with the vassal clans, he received a communication through his Spirit Comms.

He furrowed his brow and accepted the call, which was from Elder Su Feng.

"Sect Master, we have found traces of the Blood Whisperers."
