Chapter 30 My Guest
*************
CHAPTER 30
The sound of heels clicking against the cold tiles could be heard far away as they began to draw nearer to a particular room.
The door pushed open, revealing a lady in her early forties with bra length black hair, putting on a dark blue fitted knee-length gown and matching black heels.
As soon as the men inside saw her, they lowered their heads to greet her.
"Boss."
Rather than returning their greeting, her gaze swept through the room to land on the lady seated at the centre, tied chest down to the wooden chair.
A pleasant smile formed at the corners of her lips before she said anything. Lifting her chin up a bit, she clasped the fan in her hand against her free palm, signalling her arrival at the lady tied down.
Taking steps into the room, she rounded the corner till she was standing face to face with the ties lady.
Her eyes narrowed as she managed to guess who the supposed lady was, under the cloth that was used to tie her up.
"Remove her blindfold," her cold voice rang out in the silent room in a commanding tone.
"Yes, boss." The lady who remained tied could only move her head a bit. Ever since she was tied down, they had not allowed her to see daylight but would only feed her at will.
One of the three men standing at the side nodded and walked over to the lady, yanked the blindfold off, ignoring the obvious pain it was going to cost her.
"Aah!" Her chest rose and fell a bit, panting from the pain.
The woman standing before her, had her brows crease at the sight. She had her guess but seeing her first hand without the blindfold, her heart leapt into her mouth.
Slowly, she pried her eyes open, trying to get accustomed to the bright light in the room.
For some reason, they had left it on, unlike every other day where they left her in the dark, save for the sunrays coming through the window.
"Are you done getting acquainted with your environment? Cause if you are done, take a look at me."
All this while, the voices she heard remained familiar but not being sure, she did not come to a conclusion until she cleared her eyes and looked again.
The blur finally cleared and she got a clear glimpse of the lady. Taken aback, she could only stare at the other lady. Her lips parted to speak but the only words she could find were… "Mistress?"
Her eyes widened at the name she was called, making her brows furrow deeply. "How dare you!"
Her eyelashes blinked severally as she took her time to study the lady.
There was a considerable change in her person from when she first saw her till when she last saw her and today.
"How dare you address me like that, Fong Su?"
"If I am not mistaken, that was who you were. Master's mistress, were you not?"
She scoffed at her. "Your mouth and those defiant eyes were like how they were back then when I delivered his work to him at home. I should have known better."
She took a bold step in her direction, ensuring to belittle her with her aura and composure.
"Who are you deceiving? Did you just deliver documents or you were busy ruining a family?"
POW!
Her head fell to her side from the force that accompanied the slap. "Does hitting me change the truth? Hmm, I should curse my luck for making me run into the likes of you," she spat out without a care in the world.
"Hmm, hahaaaa…" cold laughter tore through the air, sending chills to some of the men standing. "You sound tough but you and I know that you are nothing."
Her eyes held the worst malice she could muster as thoughts of the past came flashing back. "If you were so tough, then why did you flee five years ago?"
"Five years ago. I heard she died and I thought it better to leave. I had issues to handle at home. As much as I wished to return later, it was already too late."
Her brows creased further. "Too late?"
"Yes. The young lady of the house returned to school and you… You had moved in. I was not needed anymore."
"Hahaha…" her shoulders flexed as she laughed out heartily before her face returned to normal all of a sudden. "Do you take me for a fool?!"
Her face wrinkled a bit at the corners of her eyes as her laughter carried on till she was tired.
Edging closer to her side, she lowered her body, half leaning forward and bringing her lips to the left ear of Fong Su.
"You think I do not know you witnessed her death and fled?" she whispered into her ear. "Tsk. You would be my guest from now on. I cannot let a loose cannon like you free."
Her cheeks puffed up as her lips pulled into a thin line, forming the best pretentious smile yet. "You would not see the light of day again until I can ascertain all you have said."
She straightened herself, standing as though those annoying words did not just leave her mouth as her gaze remained glued on the lady before her.
"What?" she shook on the chair she was tied to. Her head moved from side to side, struggling against the ropes that held her in place. "Fang Mei, curse you! You will not get away with this."
"I would not, huh? Hehhee, worry not. I always get away with anything I want. And if you are smart, you would know that by now."
The dread in Fong Su's eyes further made her feel good about herself and secure. For five years she had not slept well because of the thought of Kai's family nanny.
Now, she could rest with ease and did not hope to let her out of her sight.
"If you wish to blame anyone, blame that good for nothing young miss of yours for calling out your name in the marketplace."
Her smile widened as she turned to face the three men. "FJ."
"Boss."
"Leave no room for escape. I want her locked up."
"Got it, boss."
