Chapter 766 - Cloud Piercer and Troop Destroying Arrow

Situ Yu was shocked to see that Chen Yang was here. He had been discussing him with Situ Yao prior to this. Chen Yang was smart enough to know that his son’s death was related to Situ Yu, so why was he here?

But Situ Yu wasn’t afraid of Chen Yang overhearing their conversation. While both him and Chen Yang were at the Eighth Earthly Martial Stage, his grandfather was at the peak of the Ninth Earthly Martial Stage.

After hearing Situ Yao’s words, the wooden door opened and Chen Yang walked in. Chen Yang was cloaked in a chilling aura as he stared at Situ Yu with cold eyes before kowtowing to Situ Yao. “Greetings, Elder.”

In the Demon clan, Chen Yang was in the same faction as Situ Yao, which was why his son was close to Situ Yu. He thought that relationship would grant his son a great future, but instead, his son had ended up dead because of Situ Yu.

“Chen Yang, I’ve heard of what happened today,” Situ Yao said frankly.

“Yes.” Chen Yang nodded. He said nothing more, so the atmosphere was tense. Situ Yu looked at the two and wasn’t sure what they were thinking.

“Xiao Yu here is too naive. He allowed Chen Xu to pick a fight with Long Chen but never thought that things would end up like this. This is all Xiao Yu’s fault. I will let you punish him as you see fit. You can kill or flay him if you wish,” Situ Yao slapped Situ Yu and threw him towards Chen Yang.

Chen Yang clenched his fists and glared at Situ Yu before picking him up. “A grudge should naturally fall in between the victim and the perpetrator. I only want to kill the person who killed my son. No one else. I’m here to ask if there’s a method to kill that brat or not, Elder.”

“I think he will go up there to cultivate again tonight. Since you’re at the Eighth Earthly Martial Stage, you should be able to kill him easily.”

“Will he go there again tonight? Good. My son died there with his corpse completely obliterated. I will go there and make sure he suffers the same fate tonight.” Chen Yang gritted his teeth as he spat those words out.

“Since you are one of my followers, let me give you something instead.” Situ Yao took something out of his storage ring, and a strong aura reverberated around the room. Chen Yang's eyes lit up when he saw what it was. “The Troop Destroying Arrow and the Cloud Piercer. To think that you had two advanced King-tier Divine Weapons.”

“Keep them. No one knows that I have them. I will give you both the Troop Destroying Arrow and the Cloud Piercer tonight. They are quite famous in the Ten Thousand Nations Territory.”

Chen Yang nodded when he accepted the weapons. “Elder, I will excuse myself. I will leave the Demon clan after I’ve succeeded, since the patriarch will know that I was the perpetrator. I pray that we can meet again in the future. Thank you for the Divine Weapons!”

“Go.” Situ Yao waved his hand.

Chen Yang left. He sighed after leaving the little wooden room. “Xu’er, I will avenge you, but I fear that I will have to wait until tonight to do so. After I leave the Demon clan, I will stake out nearby. Situ Yu, if I find out that you are moving alone, I will kill you!”

He hated Situ Yu, but he didn't have the power to kill him in front of Situ Yao. Situ Yao was just putting up a front by saying that he could punish Situ Yu. If Chen Yang really did so, Situ Yao would’ve killed him on the spot.

Situ Yao truly was a sly old fox.

After Chen Yang left, Situ Yu asked, “Grandfather, why did you give him the precious weapons? I’ve been asking for them for so long. Also, what’s going to happen to the inheritance of the Seven Star Lord after Chen Yang kills Long Chen?”

Situ Yao chuckled. “Don’t you know that aged gingers are the spiciest? I’m only lending them to him for a day. Once he’s done with his mission, I can go and collect them along with his life.”

“You want to kill him? Didn’t he just let me go and instead aimed for Long Chen only?”

“Idiot. Those who enter the Ancient Graveyard are all vicious. He didn’t punish you because he couldn’t do so in front of me. He will kill you if he finds you outside without anyone accompanying you.”

“It seems you still remember me?” Long Chen teased her.

“Stop wasting time. Go up there to cultivate your ‘Seven Star Lord inheritance.’ Show me how strong the inheritance of one of the Seven Lords is.” Suxue rolled her eyes, still thinking that Long Chen had been bluffing last night.

Long Chen smiled and tidied up a bit. It was already late at night, so the two said nothing as they scaled up to the highest peak of Heavenly Wood City. Long Chen was very careful this time and used Sight to observe his surroundings. When he found no one within a one Li radius, he relaxed and continued scaling upwards.

“What’s wrong? Are you afraid that someone will bother you even with me here?” Suxue twisted her supple waist and frowned at Long Chen.

Her jade-white skin was practically glistening like snow under the starlight. Bai Suxue was indeed a good name for her.

“What are you staring at?” Suxue turned her head and scoffed. She felt like Long Chen’s stares were very lecherous.

Long Chen laughed dryly. “You are right. Princess Suxue, you are the strongest youth here, as strong as the elders. I’m sure no one will harm me when you’re around.”

“What a wry mouth you have. You want me to beat you up?” Suxue responded with a chuckle. While she detested him before, her attitude towards him changed after he saved her sister. She now thought that Long Chen was an interesting person. At the very least, it was much more comfortable to be with him than with Situ Yu.

They chatted while they scaled up to the top. Halfway there, Suxue suddenly asked seriously, “Long Chen, there’s something serious that I need to talk to you about.”

“What is it?” Long Chen saw how serious she looked. He didn’t hate her, so he listened intently.

“I think Yan’er is very reliant on you. She talks about you all the time. Don’t you think it’s strange? She’s only fourteen.”

Long Chen was stunned before he realized what was going on. “Are you saying that she might be in love with me?”

Suxue nodded. “It’s just something I’ve observed. After all, you were the one who saved her from death. Do you intend to stay in the Demon clan and become one of us? Can you guarantee that you will fight for the Demon clan? If not, I hope that you won’t be too nice to my sister. Do you understand?”

Long Chen lowered his head as he thought about it. He knew that she was right. He had disappointed a lot of people along his journey, from Murong Yu to Liu Yiyi. Both of them were deeply in love with him, yet he had chosen to walk his own path. He knew that he couldn’t stay in the Ten Thousand Nations Territory for his entire life.

After thinking it through, he said, “I understand. I will take note of this when I’m with Yan’er. She’s still young after all, right?”
