Chapter 18: Elf and Dwarf
Chapter 18: Elf and Dwarf
Jay finished making the humans and breathed a sigh of relief. He turned to Phineas and said,"Thank you for the reminder my son, I appreciate it."
Phineas beamed a grin, gave a big thumbs up and said,"No problem!"
Jay then looked to the machine and ideas started to pop up in his head. Jay started to get excited to test this puppy out! He was starting to form so many ideas about races to create! Jay was also a human and right now, all of his dedication was focused on the sentient creation.
Sol smiled as she looked on at the Jay she knew getting absorbed into his work just like old times. He often did this when working on architecture plans and blueprints. His dedication and focus on his craft made him one of the most well respected architects in the state he lived in afterall!
Jay pulled out another clay ball and started to form again as he imagined a being that as it started to form looked very much different. The other looked on as it was formed in front of their eyes once more.
What ended up coming out was a being that looked close to human but.. wasn't.
Jay smiled at it. The creature in front of him was an elf. About twice the size of a human, with long pointed ears, long silky hair, and refined features that made it very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The figure was also quite lanky but had a hidden strength bubbling beneath its skin.
Jay set the power level to be 3-9 upon birth as he wanted to give the elves a little bit of a head start because of what he was going to do next. Jay set it to have traits, which were [Nature affinity (adaptive), Long life, extraordinary beauty, Natural Bowmasters, very low birth rate, slow power progression, dedication to 'purity'].
Jay then placed 3 groups down on the planet. He set 1 in a jungle on trecano, 1 on the second biggest island Doscano (dos - 2 / Cano - volcano), and third on the smallest island with the other humans.
Jay then said,"Race biographies: Elf/Elven. Create a new biography. Elves are nature lovers and seek purity above all else. They are lax in development because of their long lives but have a naturally high strength even upon birth. They gain power slowly as they grow older, however they do not dedicate much time to training as unless under attack they feel no need to train. The only things they care about are nature, purity, the fine arts, and making their lives as easy as possible, because effort requires too much effort! They do not value money as other races do and instead rely on its own community to feed, clothe, and support their people.*1"
(*1 - elf don't care about money, trade goods are king, food and weapons and other things of that nature)
Jay was very happy with this new addition and hurriedly decided on another race in the heat of the moment.
Everyone besides Sol and Stalara were surprised by the vamped efficiency Jay was now producing after struggling with the humans! The two girls knew this was how their dad and husband acted when he dedicated himself to something!
Jay took another clay ball and formed it much faster this time as it only took 42 seconds as compared to the 3 minutes for the elves. Their was a reason though as he was making dwarves and they were not fundamentally all that different from humans.
He set their power level to be 2-6 at birth and then set the traits [Robust Stability, Robust Strength, Nimble hands, Forge Focus, Natural Blacksmiths, Increased speed of learning In production fields, short stature, shorter than average lives (up to 70 years only), Natural Dwarf, Stunted Combat ability growth]
Jay then went to set them on the planet. 5 groups were set down on each of the continents near or directly on mountains or dense ore hill ranges. Then he paid another 10 GP to place a 6th, which he placed at the bottom of a large gorge, which then led into an extensive cavern and cave system. Just to see what would happen, he was curious after all! Dwarves have never been depicted as living in underground casms, only on or in mountains, so he wanted to see the development here change over time and what different path they would take compared to the other dwarves.
After he did that Jay set the new biography.
"Dwarves are usually about half the height of a normal human male. They are proficient in production and excel in any field relating to forging, blacksmithing, or production related work. They are highly attuned to fire that burns within the coals, they can finely change its heat to properly develop their desired product. They have a high affinity to the ores they use and can tell what is valuable and what is not a glance. They have an Innate ability to make the most of every nano meter of ore they process with their own hands."
Jay smiled and nodded in satisfaction as another race was added to his planet. Jay could feel them standing on the earth as if the earth was himself. It was an incredibly weird feeling.
Jay then turned his attention back to the probable machine in his hand that had created 3 races so far. Jay's mind started to turn as every fantasy race he had ever heard of popped into his head at a breakneck pace. Jay went through the list and started to eliminate all those who he did not wanted to create and those that were not acceptable for this world.
Jay then started his process once more and continued making races to the bewilderment of the others present. Jay seemed to have gone mad with power! But they all enjoyed seeing this passionate God create. It was a fun experience.
