Demon Lord and His Unknown Child With the Empress

In the Eastern Heavenly Domain, in an ascension area…

Dozens of ascension gates over 30 meters high towered into the skies, looking grand and lofty.

This was the junction between the Mortal Realm and the Heavenly Realm. It was also the place where those ascending from the Mortal Realm first arrived.

In the various domains of the Heavenly Realm, many ascension areas could be found.

It could be considered the Heavenly Realm’s registration offices.

The moment someone ascended from the lower realm, one of the ascension gates would activate automatically.

A number of guards wearing heavenly armor were sitting beside the ascension gates, drinking and chatting about life.

A fat guard captain shared the history of the epic War of Immortals and Demons from a century ago animatedly with his subordinates.

The other guards listened with relish.

Now, the Heavenly Realm had not seen battle for a long time, and it was incredibly stable.

Their jobs standing guard year after year felt meaningless and very boring!

“Then, what happened to the Demon Lord in the end? Why don't we hear about him anymore? Is he dead?” one of the guards asked with his hand raised.

The other guards had the same question and were waiting for the fat guard captain to answer.

The fat guard captain stuck out his belly and said smugly, “I hear that after the Demon Lord fought the Heavenly Emperors, he went back to the Demon Realm and disappeared.

“Some people speculate that he was seriously injured and passed away!

“The Demon Realm purposely suppressed the news, so we stopped hearing about the Demon Lord!”

“I see!”

“In that case, the Heavenly Realm is better!”

“Of course!”

“How can losers like the Demon Realm compare to the Heavenly Realm? Hahaha!”

Everyone bragged and laughed proudly.

After they were done laughing, someone asked curiously, “Oh yes. You didn't mention how the Demon Lord looked.”

Just as the fat guard captain was about to answer, an ascension gate suddenly activated. At the same time, there were violent tremors.

“What's going on?”

“Why is the ascension gate reacting so strongly?”

“I don't know either. Nothing of the sort has ever happened before.”

All the guards were stunned. They quickly stood up and went over to check.

They had never seen the ascension gates reacting so strongly before!

It seemed as if someone was forcing their way through the ascension gate and trying to enter the Heavenly Realm!

“Who would have the guts to force their way into the Heavenly Realm?“

All the guards stood on high alert with their weapons trained on the ascension gate.

Moments later, the ascension gate overloaded and exploded, leaving a cloud of smoke in its wake. A silhouette jumped through the smoke and gradually stepped out of the shattered gate.

This was the first time any of the guards saw someone breaking an ascension gate. They watched with their mouths open in shock.

After the silhouette appeared, they immediately surrounded him and pointed their spears at him.

The fat guard captain at the lead shouted threateningly, “Who goes there?! How dare you barge into the Heavenly Realm and damage the ascension gate?”

After the cloud of smoke dissipated, Ning Yechen came into sight.

Ning Yechen looked around and stretched lazily.

It had been a long time since he came to the Heavenly Realm to stretch his legs, so he had nearly lost his way.

After a century, the Heavenly Realm was as lousy as before, and nothing had changed.

The parts of the Heavenly Realm that he had destroyed had all been rebuilt.

Very well.

“Sir, shall we take him down?” The guards looked at Ning Yechen intimidatingly and slowly approached him.

The fat guard captain was in a daze. He kept trembling with a look of fear on his face, as though he had seen a ghost!

The guard beside him noticed something amiss with his expression, so he went over and asked, “Sir, what's wrong? We are waiting for your orders. Shall we arrest him?”

“Arrest…” The fat guard captain was so scared that he stammered.

Before he could finish speaking, the guard beside him nodded in acknowledgment of his order and immediately directed the guards to go forward. “By the order of the captain, arrest him!”

All the guards held their spears and attacked.

Ning Yechen glanced coldly at the guards. With a flick of his wrist, black flames appeared and turned the guards into ashes before they could make a sound!

Even though he did not like fighting and killing, if people took the initiative to get in his face, he would not hold back either!

The guard who gave the order was startled.

Only the guard and the fat guard captain remained.

The fat guard captain finally finished what he had been unable to finish saying earlier. “A-arrest my ass! He-he’s the Demon Lord of the Demon Realm!”

“Huh?” The guard’s legs instantly went soft, and he slumped to the ground.

Ning Yechen was surprised that someone still recognized him after over a century.

“Do you know me?”

When the fat guard captain saw Ning Yechen walking over, he was so scared that he knelt on the ground and trembled while speaking. “Your name precedes you throughout the Heavenly Realm. I… I had the honor of seeing you a century ago.”

Ning Yechen nodded and smiled. “I haven’t been to the Heavenly Realm in a long time. Mind pointing me to Tiandao Palace?”

“There… over there, in that direction.” The fat guard captain pointed tremblingly.

He did not dare to hold back anything.

In his opinion, the smile on Ning Yechen’s face was no different from a greeting from the God of Death.

He only hoped that he could die without any pain, just like the other guards.

After thanking the fat guard captain, Ning Yechen transformed into a dark light again and headed toward Tiandao Palace.
