Chapter 28: Advancement...
After entering one of the abandoned houses, the child instantly dropped onto the floor as he gasped for air slightly, on his face a little silly grin could be seen.
"Kitty we did it! My Level increased to level 20, we could finally create another permanent art!"
With a suppressed excited voice, the child hugs the cartoonish white cat as he kisses the silly cat's face.
After minutes of excitement, the child finally calmed down a little as he took out some bread before staring toward the void in stillness.
Knowing that the child is probably looking at his character panel, Leo silently passes through the wall beside him, suppressing the building anticipation and excitement within his soul.
Silently floating in the air, Leo grinned widely as he opened his character panel...
"New skills, hehehe..."

Horror points: 23,450

"Two levels... Not bad" As Leo was about to open his skill tree, he suddenly noticed the number of his horror points below.
Wai...wait, this! How could my horror points suddenly increase by more than 20,000 points?
Leo, although directly saw that he upgraded by 2 levels, it is actually not exaggerated due to how many zombies he killed and assisted earlier... However, upon seeing his horror points, Leo couldn't help but feel that this was too much!
Although it's not bad having many horror points, the point is that he had no idea how he managed to gather this much!
"Tell me I will immediately do it!"
Unfortunately, the system couldn't talk to him or tell him the reason.
Without anything to do Leo decided to check his Tree skill, since he upgraded to level 15 it meant that he could learn another skill from Skill Tree and another two from his class job.
Without much suspense, Leo directly clicks the information of the only ominous light on his skill tree.
[ Soul Scan: A skill that was much more advanced than a normal scan. It could directly and vaguely see the stats/skill of being 5 levels lower than the host.
Activation: 5 mana points! (Only could activate 3 times a day! )
Skill Cost: 2,000 horror points!
Note: It could scan beings with the same or higher level than the host but it can only show data vaguely! ]
"The legendary scan!?" Leo laughed out loud deep within upon seeing the new skill. He always wondered why he could only see levels and species of beings back then when he scanned them, he didn't expect that those scans were actually degraded versions.
Now that he has scan skills... He would be able to hunt lower-level monsters more effectively, without being afraid of getting caught off guard by their strengths.
Ding!
-2,000 horror points!
Without much surprise, Leo quickly purchased the skill before opening his class job panel. Planning to see what kind of new skill he could get from his class job!
"Hopefully, The skill would be useful for me even without having a physical body!"
Ding!
[ Mana Thread (Technique): A technique that could allow/teach the user to precisely control their mana to an intricate level! like a thread! (Training with the technique could increase the user's Magic Power based on mastery of the skill!)
Activation: Based on the user!
Skill Cost: 500 horror points!
Note: Controlling mana could be beneficial to the host! ]
Ding!
[ Extraction (Technique): One of the based techniques for Potionist, Alchemist, and Herbalist. It allows the user to extract the essence of herbs and materials!
Activation: Based on the materials and host mastery of the skill!
Skill cost: 500 horror points!
Note: It couldn't extract the living being essence! ]
"Technique, this is new..." Leo falls into deep thought upon seeing the two new skills from the class job. This is also the first time he needed to learn the skills at a deeper level in able to reduce the mana consumption of the skill.
If he could guess correctly, then this skill actually couldn't be upgraded by horror points based on the description of the skills...
"Although I hate studying... It is still good to have this skill, I could slowly study it every day when I feel bored." Feeling that it was feasible, Leo without thinking too much, directly brought the skills.
-500 horror points!
-500 horror points!
In an instant, after purchasing the skills, a buzzing sound directly resounded inside his head followed by a huge influx of knowledge regarding the two skills.
Groan.
His smoke soul body began to twist intensely as he suppressed the urge to scream. Due to the influx of knowledge, Leo's head was in chaos...
"Ugh..."
Soon, after 5 minutes of intense pain in his head, Leo slowly opened his imaginary eyes as he scanned the surroundings in puzzlement.
Where am I?
Who am I?
What am I?
Leo questioned himself in confusion. The knowledge brought by the skills caused his mind to be overloaded with knowledge, causing him to be in a state of disarray for the time being.
As Leo's mind was in chaos due to the influx of knowledge, a slight buzzing sound resounded in the room next to him followed by gentle light sweeping in the surroundings.
Feeling the gentle breeze hitting his soul body, Leo's mind suddenly felt refreshed as his chaotic mind began to calm down.
Throb.
Throb...
At the same time, as his mind began to reorganize, a sudden throbbing sound coming from his soul body began to resound in the surroundings.
Throb...
"What is this?"
