Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1501 Cultivation Room

Chapter 1501  Cultivation Room

Turning his attention away from the wooden door at the end of the staircase, Chu Yang turned around and looked back towards the path leading out of the underground space on the other side of the small room.

Even though he was only separated from that path by a few meters, he understood that the moment he took a step forward, he would find himself back inside the maze that he had just barely managed to escape from.

Outside of the danger associated with entering the maze again, he also worried that the maze would change around the moment he took a step back into it. After all, he had seen how the maze had changed around him while he had been moving through it not long ago and he really didn't plan on going back into the maze just after he had managed to make it out. Especially so considering that he had no guarantee that he would be able to make it out alive again.

In a sense, the fact that he had even managed to make it out alive in the first place could be considered nothing short of a miracle and he didn't plan to rely on fate again and pray that none of the powerful demon beasts inside the maze noticed him.

With that in mind, he slowly turned his attention towards the wooden door that was slightly open at the bottom of the staircase he now found himself on.

Although going forward might lead into another dangerous situation, he felt that it couldn't be much worse than having to go through the maze again.

As for trying to just dig himself out of the ground? He had thought about doing this, but the formation that covered the small room and had trapped him in the maze earlier was also active around the staircase he now found himself on. Protecting not just the staircase, but also the walls and ceiling above him. Preventing him from digging his way out of his current situation.

Even then, he didn't forget to try and dig out just in case a flaw that he could have taken advantage of had developed inside the ancient formation. After all, it had been a long time since the formation had been created and last repaired. Even when he had just seen the small room for the first time, he had noticed a flaw in the formation after carefully looking through the small room.

Though the flaw in question didn't seem to affect the formation itself, it did give him some insight into its presence. Allowing him to test out the formation before he dared to venture forth and step inside.

If not for that one flaw, he might have ended up stepping into a far more dangerous place at the beginning instead of having a more peaceful time learning about the maze for a little over a day before he found himself trapped inside the maze by what he had originally believed to have been weak demon beasts.

Without what he had learnt about the demon beasts inside the maze and their general behavior during that one day, he would most likely not have been able to safely make his way out of the maze…

Shaking his head as he thought about this, Chu Yang soon began to slowly make his way down the stairs towards the half open wooden door. Understanding that there was no other way for him to proceed unless he wanted to go through the terrifying maze again.

Creeeak~

Soon enough, he slowly found himself pushing open the wooden door before cautiously peeking inside the room on the other side of the door. Already prepared for a possible life and death battle-

"Huh? This…"

However, as he peeked into the room on the other side of the wooden door, he was shocked to discover that there weren't any demon beasts or other dangers waiting for him on the other side. Instead, there was what could be described as a simple cultivation room not much different from the one he had back at the sect.

The main difference was that the cultivation mat in the middle of the room was made of some kind of special material that seemed to be of higher quality than any of the cultivation mats he had seen back at the sect.

Outside of that, he also soon noticed the large number of spirit stones that had been stacked up in a corner of the room.

Even from a glance, it was obvious that all of these spirit stones were at least of top quality, with some of them even seeming to exceed that. Placing them into a category of spirit stones that he was not yet aware of.

Of course, even though the room on the other side of the wooden door seemed no different from a normal cultivation room, albeit the large number of high quality spirit stones, Chu Yang still didn't dare let his guard down and enter the cultivation room. Understanding very well that the simple looking room might be similar to the small room that turned into a terrifying maze the moment he stepped inside of it.

Unfortunately, even though he wanted to test the room and find out how dangerous it was before stepping inside of the room himself, he had no way to do so and could only use his divine sense and eyes to scan through the room for any signs of a formation similar to the one in the small.

In the end, he only found that the concentration of spiritual qi was far higher than normal inside of the cultivation room, even exceeding that of the Shattered Star Peaks by more than two times. Reaching the point where the spiritual qi inside the room had turned into a thin mist. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Although this did seem to make sense considering that this should be a cultivation room used by an ancient cultivator that had come from a power stronger than the Star Shattering Sect, Chu Yang still felt uneasy about entering the room. Deciding to remain just at the entrance for another half hour to thoroughly examine every inch of the room. Leaving no place untouched by his divine sense.

At the end, he had concluded that there were five areas of interest inside of the cultivation room.

The cultivation mat in the middle of the room.

The pile of spirit stones in another corner of the room.

A formation carved into the ground just to the side of the spirit stone, likely a path out of the cultivation room.

A small scroll located next to the cultivation mat.

And finally, a tiny source crystal slightly larger than the one he had encountered inside the secret realm a few months earlier.

All of this did point towards this just being a cultivation room without any hidden danger inside of it… And even after thoroughly searching through the cultivation room, Chu Yang couldn't find anything that would point towards it being any different.

Thump~

So, with that in mind and not really having any other place to go, Chu Yang took a step forward and stepped into the cultivation room. Fully prepared to face a life and death situation.

"…"

However, in the end, nothing happened, and he just stood there looking rather ridicules from an outside perspective.

"Really… Nothing happened…" Muttering this to himself as he let out a sigh of relief, Chu Yang slowly began calming down while he began making his way around the cultivation room to inspect it in more detail now that he had entered it in person.

First of all, he went directly to the spirit stones and the source crystal before placing both inside of his interspatial ring without a second thought. Securing the two in case anything happened.

Next, he went over to inspect what he believed to be a teleportation formation leading out of the cultivation room. Soon, he found out that it was indeed a teleportation formation.

Unfortunately, even though it seemed to be perfectly fine, it seemed like there was some kind of seal or restriction placed on the teleportation formation, preventing him from using it.

"Weird…" Muttering this to himself as he tried to break the restriction to no avail, Chu Yang turned his attention towards the cultivation mat at the center of the room- Or more precisely, the scroll next to the cultivation mat.

Hoping that it might contain some clues as to how to undo the restriction on the teleportation formation so he could get out without having to travel through the terrifying maze again.

At the same time, he also hoped that it would contain some information about this place and the ancient city itself. Hoping that it would help shed some light on not only some of his questions regarding the ancient city but also about a possible way out of the mystic realm that he now found himself trapped inside without any clear path out.
