Chapter 61 Fighting With A Diamond Race Expert

61  Fighting With A Diamond Race Expert

"Finally."

Zeras immediately stood up as he made his way towards the battle stage.

Another person also moved out at the same time as he moved as they both headed towards the battle stage.

Zeras looked up and down at the guy before him whose entire body was covered completely with blue stones, he was like a gigantic stone man with his height around 1.9 meters tall, a head taller than him. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

The entire cadets stood with bated breath as normally trying to fight a diamond race expert at this stage of cultivation was impossible for a human but it wasn't just a regular human fighting this time. It was the number one on the rankings. The number one on the rankings vs the almost impenetrable race. It was a cool battle to watch.

"Mason Raiden..." The diamond race expert said bowing slightly.

"Zeras Celestria..." Zeras replied before getting into a fighting stance.

"Begin..." The stern voice of the Instructor echoed out as the Mason immediately pressed off the ground, the wooden floor they were standing on seemed to creak from his weight as he instantly appeared before Zeras.

Zeras also immediately pressed off from the ground as he slammed out with a fist too.

"AHHHHH..." The crowd gasped as they couldn't believe his arrogance.

It was common knowledge, that the diamond race had extremely destructive attacks and defense due to their diamond-like body but Zeras was actually competing in brute strength with his fleshy body.

The result could almost be determined.

A smile appeared on Quinn's face from the corner he sat in as he couldn't help muttering.

"Now, I want to see if he really has the power to back up his words or if he's just being arrogant."

He was genuinely shocked when Zeras told him he would show the second year what it means to be first in the ranking.

Quinn could feel Zeras was serious with what he said which couldn't help but make him guess the reason for his confidence, and now he'll finally have a glimpse of his power.

"BOOOOOM."

A smile widened on Zera's face as he smashed his fist on the diamond fist and felt an overwhelming force slammed into his body, running amok, but he immediately kept it under control as he was sent five steps backward.

Mason too was also sent reeling backward as he tried to negate the power of that punch.

An unbelievable expression appeared on his face as he couldn't believe the human before him could send him back five steps. They were equally matched.

"What?" The crowd gasped as they couldn't believe that fleshy body could match the diamond body in brute strength.

'That's interesting' Zeras thought to himself. While everyone might be surprised at his body, thinking it was only flesh and shouldn't match a stone.

Only Zeras knew how many times he had continuously upgraded the power of his body to get to this level. He had strengthened his strength continuously with the system's attribute points and yet Mason could match him in strength.

No wonder a normal awakener won't be able to match a diamond race expert in strength. A normal awakener won't have the same physical strength he possessed and will have his bones reduced to mush.

They immediately moved once again appearing in the middle of the battle stage as they exchanged countless blows not moving a single step backwards.

BOOM

BOOM

BOOM

BOOM

A smirk appeared on Zeras and Manson's faces as they threw out all they had without holding back as if wanting to prove body dominion over the other.

With one more powerful blow to each other's face, they were sent skidding backward five meters as Zeras stopped his retreating motion.

The result was determined. A result both fighters don't want to agree too. They were equal in strength.

Since they were equal in strength, then the winner would come to one thing.

Zeras immediately pressed off the ground as he moved towards Mason from below.

The air was violently blown away as Mason sent out a powerful punch in his face, but it was only a feint.

Zeras immediately went to his side and he threw out a powerful punch at his ribs, his smile widening.

Mason's eyes dilated realizing it was only a feint but his shock soon disappeared as a mocking smile also appeared on his face

"That's Naive..."

Mason suddenly took a step forward as he bent his ribs to the side in the last second managing to avoid Zera's blow by an inch while he sent a powerful slap towards Zera's head as if wanting to blow his head off.

Zeras's eyes widened as he couldn't believe Mason's shocking reaction speed, but he wasn't also a single but slow as he immediately bent his upper body downwards, his back lying horizontally to the ground as he watched the slap pass over him.

Pressing off the ground, Zeras immediately jumped upwards as he rotated thrice and slammed his leg on Mason's head from above, but a punch met with his legs as they were blown backward while the wooden floor beneath Mason seemed to sink in from the weight of the kick.

They both retreated backward as the sound of two breathing out echoed in the dojo which had given deadly silence.

A small laugh suddenly escaped Mason's mouth as he stood upright.

"When I came here, I felt none could match me in brute strength but who would have believed I would meet my match even after going all out? It's been so long since I've felt alive fighting someone my age who can go out toe with me.

You have my approval..." Mason said as he tipped his head in respect.

Zeras also enjoyed it. The feeling of fighting without his life being on the line. This was the first fight he had where he didn't have to worry about dying and could let himself out and try different things in the fight. It would be a lie if he also didn't enjoy it.

"But I also don't want to lose to you so how about I tune it up a little..." Mason said as strange lines glowing with a blue color suddenly appeared on his hands reaching halfway to his elbows.

His blue stone skin was now covered in a blue colour although they glowed with a gentle blue light, Zera's hair stood on their end as he felt the power of Mason's hand rising. It was like a double increase in strength when those lines appeared.

"That's enough Mason..." The instructor said as the glowing lines on his hands slowly faded away.

"This fight... Is a Draw."
