Chapter 3307 - The Humiliation of House Suishen

Eminent Jiguang protected Suishen Yao from Eminent Ranxing's angry outburst using her totems. Otherwise she would be squashed flat on the ground, injured and unable to move.

"Is there a need to be so angry?" Suishen Yao said, completely removing any remaining doubt in her father's mind. She glared straight at her fuming father.

"What's going on?"

"Eminent Ranxing, what’s the meaning of this?"

People seemed rather shocked by his sudden outburst, Eminent Jinying included. Even prospective eminents like Suishen Yue coughed from the raging flames of Eminent Ranxing.

"Isn't Yaoyao out here already? Why’s Eminent Ranxing so angry?" n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

People turned and looked at Suishen Yao. Eminent Ranxing's aura of rage was far too powerful, to the point that people couldn't notice what was wrong with her.

"Suishen Yao" Eminent Ranxing roared. "You shameless wench! You’ve utterly humiliated House Suishen! What you've done will completely ruin our reputation!"

It wasn't hard to figure out what he meant by that based on the implication. People watched as Suishen Yao, protected from the pressure, raised her head high and spoke with a loud, clear voice. "You forced me into this! I like Li Tianming and gave myself to him. I won’t marry Suishen Yue! If you like him so much then you should marry him!"

Everyone was flabbergasted. The entirety of House Suishen turned and looked at her with disbelief.

"What... the... fuck!" Suishen Zhao swore, even though it wasn't something he usually did.

"T-t-this... it’s utterly insane! Heavens!" Even Suishen Yuan was stupefied. He swept his gaze around and saw all the elders of House Suishen had widened their eyes in shock and anger.

How will those two react? Suishen Yuan immediately looked at Eminent Jinying and Suishen Yue.

Eminent Jinying's smile was frozen on her face before it slowly contorted. Her lips parted with a quiver as she covered her heart with one hand and pointed the other at Suishen Yao. Her teeth wildly chattered as her eye sockets struggled to prevent her eyeballs from falling out. Her throat seemed to have completely seized up as she struggled to make a single sound. It looked like she had swallowed a pile of shit.

Suishen Yue, on the other hand, rolled his eyes, completely frozen as foam and blood came flowing out of his mouth.

"Heinous! It’s a scandal! A mark of shame on House Suishen!" Eminent Jinying said after overcoming some of her shock.

"What's so heinous about it? I simply couldn't fall for your pathetic excuse of a son, so I didn't let him take advantage of me. Kill me if you can!" Suishen Yao snapped without backing off.

"You!" Eminent Jinying collapsed after coughing out a few mouthfuls of blood; her son couldn't even support her.

Suishen Yue had goosebumps when he imagined what his future reputation in Myriadpath Valley would be like. All his hair stood up straight and his eyes grew completely bloodshot. He clenched his fists so hard that his nails dug into his flesh as he let out a bestial howl. All of his former self-assuredness had turned into a joke, thanks to Suishen Yao's defiant proclamation.

Everyone else there couldn't say a single word, still reeling from Suishen Yao's bravery. Most of the elders believed it was the act of a badly raised, untamed youth, but they didn't dare to say it to Eminent Ranxing's face.

Unsurprisingly, Eminent Ranxing unleashed a second wave of rage once he heard his daughter snap back at Eminent Jinying. He applied immense pressure on his sister and daughter.

"What’re you going to do?" Eminent Jiguang furrowed her brow and shielded her niece as she backed off to the border of Jiguang Sea. She could send her in at any moment.

"Suishen Jiguang!" Eminent Ranxing's burning gaze scorched away at Eminent Jiguang. "Give me that shameless, traitorous failure of a daughter right now!"

"All she did was make a choice she wouldn't regret. She’s shown bravery for the person she loves. What’s so wrong with that?!" Eminent Jiguang argued.

"Impudence! Jiguang, the only reason she reached this point is because of your influence! She committed an unforgivable sin, and you are an accessory to it!"

"So I can't be forgiven?" Any of Suishen Yao's remaining hope in her father had vanished when she heard that. "It sure is amazing being your daughter. I've sinned just because I didn't want to marry someone you wanted me to. Your reputation is much more important than your children's lives, is it? Very well. I've had enough, too! You seem like you're going to kill me anyway, so get it over with! If you take too long to kill me, you're impotent!"

"Yaoyao!" Eminent Jiguang immediately grabbed her, but she couldn't be stopped. Her mental state was too far gone.

"Do you really think I don't dare to kill you?!" Eminent Ranxing looked at her with genuine killing intent.

"I never doubted it for a second! You're the kind of cruel person I expect would be capable of killing me over something so trivial! I've completely seen through you. You were the one that caused my mom to die, weren't you? If you're capable of that, of course you'll be able to kill me without a second thought! I know your secret. That's why you'll kill me to keep my mouth shut! Suishen Ranxing, you’re the most evil hypocrite this world has ever seen!"

Suishen Yao had thought that she would never be able to say that out loud. She had kept it deeply hidden all of her life, but this very day, all remaining pleasant memories about her father had been wiped clean, leaving only pain and resentment.

"Don't speak nonsense!" Eminent Jiguang's headache was mounting. She had wanted Suishen Yao to be brave, but she hadn’t expected that her niece would dig out something that was even harder to deal with! Every word she had said would force Eminent Ranxing to have to punish her harsher and harsher!

Fortunately, Suishen Cang and Suishen Ling arrived and immediately pulled Eminent Ranxing back.

"Eminent Ranxing! Don't get mad at her for her emotional outburst! She's just overwhelmed! Don't take it to heart!" Suishen Cang said.

His wife quickly added, "We should focus on getting Li Tianming back. You can't let Yaoyao alone face the consequences of something that he was also a part of!"
