Back For My Daughter

In the Sunflower Kindergarten.

With a somewhat apologizing look on her face, teacher Wu looked at her students.

"I know I promised you all that I would teach you a new poem last week, but I didn't come and also didn't fulfil my promise."

Hearing her words, the little children in the class smiled and shook their heads.

Although they had been slightly sad that their teacher didn't come that day as she had promised, their sadness hadn't lasted for more than a few minutes despite her class being the most exciting one since they were allowed to play for the time.

"Teacher Wu, don't feel sad, Qiqi was also sad that the teacher didn't come to teach a new poem to Qiqi and her friends, but after Qiqi said to Papa that you were absent, Papa said that you should have been busy in something very important or you don't have broken your promise to us as teacher Wu is the best."

The little girl sitting in the second row of the middle tables said while shaking her head.

Her words were immediately followed by the nodding of the other little children who were in agreement with her thoughts.

After coming to school in the morning, the kids had been discussing if their class teacher would come today or would remain absent.

But that was when Little Qiqi and her friends let everyone know that since their teacher was always so good with them and would fulfil every promise she made, it must have been really important or she won't have wanted to go elsewhere and not teach them a new poem.

Seeing the bright and cute faces of the children, the sad feeling that had been gripping her heart finally left.

Since this was the first time that she had ever not kept her promise, Wu Ying had thought that her students would have gotten a bit sad, which made her feel hesitant to face them in any way.

She couldn't help but feel that the ones before her weren't kids, but grown ups since that was how they were behaving.

"Thankyou all for understanding me, and most importantly, thanks to your Papa, Qiqi."

Wu Ying beamed as she patted the little girl's head.

"Hehe, teacher Wu can thank Qiqi's Papa herself when Papa comes to pick Qiqi up."

The little girl grinned.

"Hmm, but doesn't your Papa have work to do?"

Wu Ying couldn't help but ask.

All these days since the day he seemed to have returned to his family, Wu Ying had seen Ye Qian coming to receive and drop off Little Qiqi not even missing a single day, this made her wonder if he wasn't working or simply had some other business which gave him some free time to spend it with his child.

Although she liked this gesture of Ye Qian and also somewhat understood that the reason behind this might be him being away from his daughter for all these years and that he was trying to do his best to make the little girl not feel low, a few times she had thought what would have been the reason why Ye Qian had been away from his family for about half decade.

'To be honest, Mr Ye doesn't seem like those men who would want to leave their family for some meagre gains, then why?'

"Hehe, teacher Wu, Papa has got a work in a big company in our city, but since Papa wants to drop and receive Qiqi, Xiao Ya and Big Sister, Papa took the night shifts, so he will also help us with our homework."

"Sigh."

Wu Ying could only let out a sigh and shake her head with a heavy look on her face but she quickly hid it from the little girl and smiled.

"Qiqi, you need to make your Papa proud, he is working very hard for you, and also doing so much to give you a lot of time."

Although she was also the one who had a few times cursed him for being someone who had left his family in such conditions, but now that she was aware of all that he was doing, she couldn't help but feel guilty for thinking so much bad about him.

"Hehe, Qiqi will always make Papa proud, when we go away Papa will teach us many things and then Qiqi will be very powerful."

The little girl's eyes shone as she thought about all those things that her Papa had told stories about, she clearly knew that all those weren't just simple stories, but rather the world where her Papa had been living all these years.

And since her Papa had told her that all of them would also go to that world, the little girl was in high spirits to meet all the magical creatures and people who could fly and use magic.

She didn't doubt that any of this was fake since she believed her Papa completely and more importantly because she knew how powerful her Papa really was.

Of course, the little girl didn't clearly know the extent of her father's prowess, she still knew that he was at least as powerful as the Superman she had seen in movies and cartoons.

Meanwhile, unaware that her words had shocked her friends, Qiqi imagined the world her Papa had described, but her train of thought was destroyed when she heard someone from her side.

"Qiqi will you leave us?"

It was Little Ji who asked the question, the little girl had a saddened look on her face as she stared at her friend.

Similar to her, Rong, Wie, Jing, Xue, Min, all were looking at her with a similar saddened look.

The moment they heard that Little Qiqi was going to leave with her father, they felt that she won't be with them anymore.

"Ahhh, no, Papa said that Qiqi will be able to return when Qiqi gets powerful, but for that, Qiqi will need to get very powerful just like Papa."

"And Qiqi will never leave Qiqi's friends."

Saying that, the little girl extended her small fingers towards Rong's face whose eyes seemed to be welling with tears, the two were best friends so it was obvious that the little girl would cry after hearing that her friend was soon going to leave her.
