/Meanwhile…/

/BANG!/

"Ugh!... Dammit!"

/Flash…/

"... Phew…"

"I won."

/Din Din Din!/

[Champion of the Arena!]

While Dale dived into the hands of danger, a certain bright and energetic girl completed yet another victory in the Arena.

She was rather pretty and she had a certain devious and bright aura around her, and with her strength atop that, she was quite the gal.

It was to no surprise that she was Roger's Granddaughter, the one he doted on immensely.

'A bit underwhelming, these players rely too much on mechanics, can't they at least do the basics and move around to chain their Skills together?'

'Their worse than those dummies...'

[DING]

[17 Victory Streak!]

"Yawn... When will this get fun?"

[Solo 1v1 -> 17/0/0]

[Leaderboard Ranking -> 7,932]

"Sigh, I'm still barely in the Eight thousandths despite taking less than two minutes on average per fight?" She complained as she kicked a rock on the ground

'People simply take this too seriously, fighting and ending their fights within seconds, what's the point in that?'

As she said that, her surroundings were slowly clad in smoke, and when everything dissipated, she was thrown back into the main Lobby.

She quickly took a look around, thinking about what happened just a few moments before.

She still remembered when Golden Light fell from the skies, blasting a hole in the ground, and sending her and many others flying away.

Before she could recover, everything had already been fixed as if she was delirious, and if it weren't for the testimonies of the people around her, she would've believed that.

But alas… It happened, it sent shivers down her spine.

Amidst the chaos, it was almost impossible to tell what had happened but she did remember something… A Player wearing reddish Armor.

However, she didn't know who he was, only that his armor looked rather cool.

"So you won again, congratulations." Someone said from the side

It was a man with black hair and clear asian traces, albeit his facial harmonization was closer to that of a Westerner.

When together, he was quite the handsome fella. Very handsome even. But in a pretty boy sense as some might say, he got the best of both worlds.

Which was strange since Roger didn't look like pretty handsome old man... It must come from his and his son's wife's sides of the Family.

"... Brother." She said slowly, her eyes sharpening

"When you say it like that and in that tone you make it sound like I'm a supervillain or something." The boy said with a sigh as he rested his back on his chair

Despite what the boy usually did and how he acted, he still loved his sister, albeit just like his father, he was the kind of person to put too much emphasis on his work rather than on those around him, leading to some rather awkward situations and moments.

Especially when he acted authoritative towards her, which she never tolerated.

Of course, she wouldn't understand even if he were to try and explain his point of view… Since for him, his sister acted too freely and was unaware of her 'true' responsibilities.

She always said she could do whatever she wanted while the older brother said she was going through puberty, adding oil to the fire.

Of course, both were right and at the same time wrong fundamentally, but that is how relationships tend to go.

"So?... Do you have a goal? Or do you just plan on going around doing whatever in this Event?" The boy asked as he looked at her

"What does that have to do with you?"

"... That hurts me a bit but it's fine. I ask because you're my sister."

"Humph, only when it's convenient for your image." She said as she looked away

"..."

'She's so stubborn, always acting as if I don't bring her to eat every weekend.'

'I've always bought her plushies ever since she was five, but she stopped taking them when she was eleven, things went downhill from there.'

'To this day I don't understand why she sees me in such a bad light… I suspect it's work but I can't connect the two quite well…'

The older brother did not show any visible emotion when she said that, unknowingly doing the very thing his sister hated the most, his lack of a reaction to anything at all.

The reason why she acts pampered and angry is exactly because that is the only thing that brings forth any kind of reaction from him… At first, it was to play around, but as time passed and several scolds later… She now became the mischievous girl who always spoke in a distant sarcastic tone when with her brother.

As for the brother, he came here not only because he was worried about her future, but also as a request from his Grandfather who wished for both of them to give their all in this Event.

This was already within his plans, but he didn't quite understand what his Grandfather meant by "Prioritizing things that can't be easily exchanged.", he's been thinking about that ever since he said it to him, but ended up throwing it to the back of his mind.

The brother wished for his sister to use her Favor and time on activities and items that would benefit her in the long term so she could have both fun and learn, while the sister wanted to prioritize her current individual experience the most.

Both were correct once again but each were looking at different things.

The problem with the sister looking only at the ground beneath her and not at the path ahead meant that if faced with difficulties, her fun could go downhill. She may even abandon the game as that wasn't uncommon for her to do.

The brother didn't mind about that but he felt it was a shame for her to not put more effort into enjoying things long term, though he couldn't deny her approach, she could still look solely at her feet and still walk a stable path.

But things were different for him, he believed the future to be within this game and that he would build a legacy just like his grandfather did in his time.

He would learn from the basics and step over to take over things when his father grew old, this was just a step of that long process, one he would learn and take over first.

There was a lot of pride within this act, one of the things his grandfather always disagreed with him about.

But alas, siblings often resemble each other in the most unexpected of ways… The older brother is just as stubborn as the sister, and in turn, the father.

"I've been thinking of aiming for the top 10 spots on the 4v4 Arena Matches with my Guildmates, I've also been trying to challenge Four rated tasks with the goal of buying some Skill books in the shop."

"Don't you have something of interest in your eyes?"

"... You'll just complain about it if I say so."

"I can't lie about that..." He said as he looked at the side, slightly embarrassed

He knew his sister would likely grab Skills and other things that looked cool and not consider their actual usage.

She may even consider spending resources on cosmetic items...

"Sister, you want to have fun and I don't mind that, but for us to enjoy much of what the world has to offer, we need to first put some effort into it."

"You can enjoy everything you can reach with your grasp, but eventually, there will be things outside of it, and if you don't put in the effort now, once that time comes, even if you jump, they'll be out of your reach."

As he said that, he sent several images for his sister through a message.

"Here, these are some Skills, Items, and other things I thought you would like, some of them were chosen by Grandfather, so do take them into consideration."

"Most of them are pretty expensive so you'll have to raise the stakes a little, maybe start participating in Bets... Hum?"

/Din.../

While the brother tried to give advice to his sister, he received a notification from one of his close trustees.

As he read it, his eyes sharpened, and his sister noticed it.

"What is it? Work?" She asked with a scoff

"Well... Depends on the perspective." He said with a chuckle as he opened his system Menu before showing it to her

"What's this?" She asked as she looked at a video

"This is a Stream me and the Guild members have been watching, it's growing in popularity quite recently, you should watch it too."

"One of my friends showed it to me and I've been very faithful with it ever since."

"You?... You're watching streams?"

"Haha... I am a busy person but that doesn't mean I look down on such things, if there's something to learn from it, I'll watch."

"Albeit it's been a while since I've watched a stream without the intent of gathering knowledge on a competitor."

"Hum... What's this about then?"

"Check it for yourself." He said with a sly smile

"..."

/At the same time.../

/SLASH!/

/ROAAR!/

Dale was about to finish his combat with the Dragon.

A decisive move in the air above a burning forest.

"Hupp!"

/SHAAAA!/

His armor suddenly started releasing smoke in high quantities as his blade glowed in strong light...

A captivating sight for the girl.

/BANG!/

Notes

Just a small POV change since I wanted to show a bit of other players.

There are still some I want to show, such as Rodi, other Major players I introduced all the way back during the first Volume, and also that mysterious guy who stole the relic from the hidden Dungeon.

That should be all of the people I intend to show, peace and have a nice week!
