Chapter 255: The War Begins

Chapter 255: The War Begins

At the edge of the entire Earth World Sector, armies from all walks had gathered to face the looming threat from the horizon, their faces solemn as they faced the barrier that cracked apart which each passing breath.

Within a fleet of airships, Alan, Angeline, Hank, Thomas, and Nelly were gathered together with key figures. A tense air dancing about the cabin as they faced a different direction while speaking to each other.

"Che! When are they getting here? They should have long since been here by now!" Alan cursed in a slightly angry tone.

Angeline looked at him before shaking her head; she glanced at Thomas, who was inspecting the radar, he was about to say something, but as if he noticed a change, his eyes lit up when he replied.

"They're coming!"

"Oh, finally, Ange, tell Reaper and the others back at base to launch out now to defend the core areas of the empire. Even with our reinforcements at the front line, I doubt we'll be able to keep everyone here."

Angeline nodded at Alan's words as she replied, "Alright, leave it to me."

Following this, she sent a message to the MSS base.

"You ready?" Alan glanced at Nelly and asked with a faint smile on his face.

Nelly looked at Alan, clocking his two strange-looking guns as he smoked a cigar and spoke, "Always..."

Angeline said nothing as she focused on her task. By this time, Reaper, who stood within the MSS headquarters' darkroom, had received the message.

He glanced at the screen before him as he spoke with a smile, "Oh, it's about damn time, let's get this shown on the road; I can't wait to show this bad boy's capabilities. For that, I'll be counting on you too."

When Reaper said, he fixed his head towards a giant mech, hidden away in the darkness with glowing eyes, his lips curved into a smile as more and more mech eyes lit up from the dark but extremely spacious room.

Looking carefully, one would even notice a few silhouettes of soldiers dressed similar to himself, each wearing visors with lights shining in their eyes. Cline and Conrad stood directly before this group in battle suits; they smirked as they spoke with confidence in their eyes, "Leave it to us."

Within a different location, a few fleets were nearing the MSS fleet led by Alan's party, one being the group from the Russian Empire's Butch Brigade led by Viktor and Millie.

While the others were none other than the Setting Sun Elite Unit and Fierce Tiger Squadron, each lead by their respective masters, such as Tanaka Bairei, Masuda Ayako, Lian Qigang, along with Akim Mureithi and Nala.

Each party had solemn looks on their faces as they faced the crumbling barrier's direction, expressing various thoughts among themselves.

"I can sense that the chi beyond the barrier is of a terrifying magnified; these foes aren't going to be easy to suppress even if we work together."

Lian Qigang said as he sat in meditation with his eyes closed.

"It doesn't matter, for like all swords, we warriors must always face danger with a steady mind, the firmer our wills, the more efficient we can do battle."

Tanaka said as he held onto his samurai sword, resting it against his chest; Ayako said nothing as she sat in a corner fiddling with her daggers with sharp eyes.

On the ship belonging to the Butcher Brigade, Viktor was busy leaning against the wall with his legs crossed, garbed in his military uniform with fantasy-style armor mixed, creating a strange look.

Millie frowned as she glared at him and shouted, "Hey, this is no time to be lazing off! Can't you see that it's about to get serious?"

Viktor smirked as he replied in a casual tone, "So what? It's not like we can delay the inevitable; let's take things at our own pace."

Mille felt angered by those words, but as if she didn't want to push it, she sighed and took deep breaths to calm down, snorting before looking away.

The other military personal rolled their eyes at this with ashamed looks; it seemed they didn't quite enjoy the company of these two commanders.

Those on the ship for the Fierce Tiger Squadron remained silent, each having a solemn air as they readied themselves to fight a fierce battle against the unknown. However, unlike everyone else, Nala seemed a bit bored as she yawned while fanning her face as she mumbled.

"Pssh, so troubling, I just want to get this over with."

Akim face-palmed at her words, he was about to say something, but right at this time, his eyes narrowed along with everyone else, as the scene before them had started to change.

"So, it begins..." Akim muttered as he reached for his weapons, taking on a silent and vicious look, no different from a wild beast in the remote fields of Africa.

As expected, the barrier which had been cracking had suddenly released a bright light before it crumbled to bits of pieces, revealing the strange colored sky of Qeodreona. However, when this happened, a dreadful wind blew across the Earth World Sector, along with the terrifying energies belonging to the Flesh Mutator.

Suddenly, within the distance, not too far away from the leading armada, led by Alan's party, an endless cluster of horde carriers blocked out the horizon as they soared towards this direction with full speed.

Each of them had a seemingly endless amount of Flesh Mutators on top of them, each emanating savage energy as they shrieked and roared towards the heavens.

A few humans had started to sweat when they felt the energies, most of the monsters were even stronger than themselves, but right at this time, Alan's voice sounded across the area by the speaker.

"Everyone! Prepare yourselves! Do not give in to your fears; do not falter before your enemy! Remember, we fight not only for our lives but for the fate of all humankind!"

When all human ascenders heard those words, their eyes shone fiercely as some gripped their weapons and hoisted it in the sky and shouted, "For victoooorrrrrry!"

The loud and blood boiling shout sounded across the horizon, followed by the largest horde carrier's appearance with the five-man team from the Eight Destroyers standing on its surface with cold and mocking looks in their eyes.

Suddenly, one of them took a step forward and pointed his fingers towards their direction as his voice sounded across the sky.

"In the name of Queen Mother, all shall fall to the horde, killlll theeeem!"
