Are You Crazy? You’re Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?

Chapter 186: The Return of the United States, A National Treasure Takes the Stage!

The program inspection team’s failure affected many, especially Captain Wang Yue, who nearly left the show under the strain. Persuaded by fellow captains, she reluctantly decided to give it another shot, still fueled by a tinge of unwillingness.

Amidst their failures, another startling development unfolded.

Everick had returned. This time, he brought two companions with him, stirring visible shock among those who recognized them.

Everick’s new allies were of significant renown.

“I’ve always said I won’t give up on Wang Yun,” Everick declared upon entering the program inspection headquarters, his voice echoing down the corridors. “Whatever harm he has caused me, I’ll repay it a hundred, a thousand times over.”

As he ranted, program inspectors from various countries converged, drawn by the commotion.

The presence of his formidable companions signaled that this time, Everick meant serious business.

“Tonys? William Tonys?” a voice of surprise echoed through the crowd.

William Tonys, a national treasure from the United States, was a prodigy who had mastered all elementary school courses by the age of three.

While his peers were still grappling with basic math, Tonys was already capable of competing in the International Mathematical Olympiad, where he initially secured third place.

Dissatisfied with this result, he competed again the following year and claimed the championship title–at just eight years old.

His achievements reverberated across the globe, attracting attention from educational institutions worldwide. Numerous schools extended offers to him, some even clashing over the right to enroll him, causing considerable turmoil. However, Tonys declined all offers, choosing to continue his education at home, stating that the academic pace at those institutions was too slow for his liking, and he did not wish to waste time.

“This statement was a slap in the face for many schools, but William Tony truly lived up to expectations. By the age of ten, he had not only graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree but was also recruited by the United States’ Department of Scientific Research.

Now, at just thirteen, William Thomas was already a formidable top talent.

Everick wasn’t surprised that someone recognized William Thomas.

“Indeed, he is our national treasure, William Thomas. With him joining us this time, you won’t have to worry about capturing Wang Yun,” Everick spoke with arrogance.

But his bravado masked a hint of insecurity, having been personally humiliated by Wang Yun.

“Hiss! William Thomas has joined. I heard his IQ exceeds the limits of human intelligence,” someone gasped.

“Yes, his IQ reached 300 by the age of ten, which is on par with Einstein.”

“My goodness, the United States has really gone all out this time, bringing in a national treasure.”

People murmured in amazement.

Meanwhile, a middle-aged man standing next to Thomas also drew attention from the crowd.

“This is Professor Gibson, a top criminal psychology expert from the United States, known for his remarkably accurate insights into human nature. He’s like a walking lie detector. Just give him a video of Wang Yun, and he can predict his next move,” Everick boasted as he introduced him.

However, the crowd wasn’t overly impressed by Professor Gibson. They were accustomed to experts. Despite his expertise, they doubted if anyone could consistently predict Wang Yun’s ingenious maneuvers.

“Humph, just a youngster causing trouble, and yet none of you could catch him,” Professor Gibson said arrogantly. “It seems a bit of an overkill to summon me to deal with such trivial matters, but perhaps it’s a good opportunity to teach you all a lesson. Clearly, not everyone here is versed in psychology.”

His demeanor radiated supreme arrogance as he disdainfully scanned the gathered inspectors, openly showing his contempt.

Moreover, Professor Gibson disparaged professors from other countries.

The program inspectors worldwide included many distinguished professors specializing in fields like medicine, psychology, crime, and tactics. It could be said that the program inspection headquarters was so elite that any member, if placed in society, would be considered a notable figure.

Professor Zhibang’s dismissive remarks made everyone visibly irritated.

“Heh, save those words for after you’ve caught Wang Yun,” scoffed Vasda, a medical professor from Spain, mocking the inefficacy of the efforts. “Just yesterday, the Chinese team deployed all its members, yet Wang Yun managed to escape right under their noses. Moreover, he climbed a mountain with a seventy-five-degree vertical slope with just his hands.”

Everick showed no reaction to Vasda’s critique. Instead, he respectfully gestured to Tonys and Professor Zhibang.

“This way, please,” he said, leading them away, blatantly ignoring the others as he headed toward his program observation room.

“Hmph, what’s so great about that? Even if he’s a national treasure or a professor, so what? Wang Yun was definitely not someone you can easily figure out,” Captain Minami said with disdain after their departure.

However, most people didn’t give it much attention. They all knew that Wang Yun had once again returned to Xiyun City.

This city, with a population exceeding a million, was a burgeoning second-tier urban center with well-developed sectors in various fields. The influx of new residents each year alone numbers over three million. Thus, finding Wang Yun in this vast city would be no easy task.

Yet, Xiyun City had its advantages

Its extensive network of surveillance cameras covered almost every street and corner. But at the same time, Wang Yun possessed abundant resources for mask-making. The masks found on Wang Yun’s subordinates, who were recently apprehended by Captain Dragon Hand were freshly crafted and even modeled after various program inspectors from China.

Therefore, Wang Yun had long since acquired a wealth of materials for creating disguises.

“Hurry up, what are you doing in the bushes, having a baby? Dang, I swear, save your R for the squishies!”

Inside a dingy internet café, a young man with a face marked by acne sat before a computer, clad in his school uniform.

He was incessantly cursing under his breath while his fingers danced expertly across the keyboard. Behind him, two or three awe-struck teenagers stand watching.
