All People Want My Created Cultivation Skills

Chapter 23

C23 – The Descendant of Jiang Wudi

Under the Federation’s regulations, planets with names starting with the letter A are under the control of the Human Race. Planets with a single letter A in their name have been terraformed to accommodate human life. Planets that begin with two letters are designated as resource planets. Planet AB356 is one such resource planet. Its volume is a thousand times that of Blue Star, and it boasts an incredibly rich supply of metals, the mining rights of which are dominated by three industrial titans.

Deep within a secret base in the southern hemisphere’s subterranean depths lies a room resembling a dungeon. This chamber is filled with a variety of chilling torture devices. At present, a burly, white-haired elder is seated on a torture chair. The chair’s back is outfitted with numerous sharp spikes piercing into his flesh, causing blood to drip profusely. Tentacles extend from the chair’s armrests, clinging to his fingers as electric currents shock his fingertips. The pain in his back and at his fingertips contorts his face, and large drops of sweat fall from his brow, exacerbating the wounds on his back and intensifying his agony. Yet, he clenches his teeth, remaining stoically silent.

His focus is unwavering, locked onto a massive virtual screen that is live-streaming Jiang Que’s activities on the Exile Planet. The old man’s eyes, clouded yet authoritative, gleam with a fervor known only to the truly devout.

”Grandfather!” A tall, strikingly beautiful girl enters the room. The old man commands, “Speak!”

The severity of his torture limits his ability to speak at length. The girl reports, “Experiments numbered 65 through 70 have all ended in failure. According to intelligence from our insiders, the military’s secret research institute has also failed, making no progress whatsoever.”

The old man remains silent, yet a smile unexpectedly graces his anguished face. For the investors in the Cultivation Method Research Institute, the collapse of these experiments is far from welcome news. It signifies not only the squandering of substantial financial investments but also the dashed hopes of enhancing their power and extending their lives. However, this elder is an outlier; he finds solace in the experiments’ failures.

The failure of the experiment meant that Jiang Que was the only person in the Human Race capable of creating a cultivation method.

The girl added, “Moreover, there are indications that spies from other races are gearing up for some kind of action.”

The old man remained silent.

He simply didn’t have the strength to speak at that moment.

She was aware of this and stood at a distance, waiting patiently.

She watched the old man’s anguished expression and his back, drenched in blood, with a look of compassion in her eyes.

A crisp sound emanated from the torture chair.

The execution had come to an end.

The spikes and tentacles on the chair’s back and arms retracted.

The old man slumped in the chair, gasping for breath.

The girl hurried to his side, assisting him into a nearby medical pod.

As his wounds began to heal, he regained some vitality.

After pondering for a moment, he instructed, “Have all hackers infiltrate the unmanned Intellectual Brain of the battleships on the Exile Planet and sabotage their operating systems. Once that’s accomplished, our allies in Parliament should push to dispatch a large battleship to the Exile Planet to transport a new group of felons for exile, and simultaneously propose repairs to the operating systems!”

She was taken aback. “Grandfather, are you planning to rescue the Young Master from the Exile Planet?”

The old man shook his head, “We lack a large battleship, so rescuing the Young Master is not an option. Besides, he’s safer on the Exile Planet. We need to send someone there to protect him!”

The girl responded, “Sabotaging the battleship’s operating system with hackers is feasible, but we have so few allies in the Federation Parliament that it’s impossible to expedite the motion to send felons to the Exile Planet.”

The old man countered, “We may not control the Federation Parliament’s decisions, but there are other ways.”

The girl was clearly intelligent. After a brief moment of shock, she grasped the situation.

Once the influential figures, the wealthy elite who founded the Cultivation Method Research Institute, and the spies cultivated by other races realized that the Institute’s research was at a standstill, they would likely send operatives to the Exile Planet to approach Jiang Que.

Their motives, however, would vary.

The elder continued, “Select a group of exceptionally intelligent and loyal individuals to protect the Young Master on the Exile Planet!”

The girl expressed her surprise, “If we’re to protect the Young Master, shouldn’t we deploy the strongest genetic warriors?”

“No, the Young Master’s capabilities are such that he doesn’t require our protection. We’re sending intelligent people to the Exile Planet to ensure no one is there with the intent to harm him,” the elder explained calmly.

“The objectives of each faction vary. Some merely wish to acquire the latest cultivation methods from the Young Master as quickly as possible. These individuals pose the least threat,” he elaborated.

“Others aim to control the Young Master by any means necessary. The spies cultivated by other races seek to get close to the Young Master with the intent to assassinate him.”

The girl nodded in understanding, “I see now!”

“Go,” the elder instructed with a wave of his hand.

The girl paused, observing the old man’s weary and aged visage. She felt compelled to reassure him, “Grandfather, even though the Young Master is on the Exile Planet, his talents remain intact. Once the Young Master returns, I’m confident we’ll reach our zenith under his leadership. There’s no need for you to continue carrying this guilt.”

“I survived when my comrades did not, solely to seek vengeance for the general. For me, living is the greatest torment,” he confessed.

The elder waved his hand once more, “These punishments serve to jolt my senses and invigorate my spirit. I will strive to bear the anguish and persist.”

A glint of determination shone in his eyes as he declared, “My soul will find redemption on the day the Young Master returns.”

Without a word, the girl departed the cell-like chamber.

In a tranquil corner of the Human Race world, the seeds of a new conflict were taking root.

The catalyst for it all was Flame Mountain on the Exile Planet.

After a month of diligent effort, fueled by his keen insight and unwavering determination, Jiang Que had gained a profound understanding of the nature of wind and birds.

He was now ready to delve into the study of movement-based cultivation methods.
