Yugioh Card Summoner

CH.113 Getting Millennium Shield

CH.113 Getting Millennium Shield

(So Laura, can you get me the shield now?) I made my request.

(Yes, we can do it now.) Laura said.

Trade in 5 ‘Warrior’ type monsters for one ‘Millennium Shield’?
[M-Warrior #1][M-Warrior #2][M-Warrior #2][M-Warrior #2][Kojikocy]

(Also, I made sure to hold onto one copy of each M-Warrior for fusion summoning Karbonala Warrior.) Laura said.

(... oh, that is a thing? I totally knew that. Perfect memory and all.)

(Master, you shouldn’t lie to me.)

(I’m not. I’m lying to myself.) I argued. (But good call. This is why I call you an overachiever.)

(This level is quite basic.) Laura argued.

(Laura, learn to take compliments.) I told her.

(I’ll try to do better in the future, Master.) She answered.

(Good. Next up, some sleeves and toploaders.) I brought us back on track. (I want a toploader for Millennium Shield. And I should probably toploader another polymerization, or perhaps even two. Otherwise I’ll never get these fusions summoned.)

(Or we could wait for tomorrow and try to get Fusion Gate. That way we could summon all the fusions with just one spell. I don’t think Master cares about the materials for most of them.) Laura said.

(Perhaps I don’t, but that still is cruel to my cards. … well I guess the same goes for sacrificing them for sleeves. But then again, I have to do it. It’s a part of the skill.) I argued to myself.

(We could also wait and get more copies of cards. That way you would only be tossing out extra copies that you don’t need.) Laura said.

(Perhaps, but at least get me the sleeve and toploader for Millennium Shield. I should practice with it as I am in a dungeon.) I decided.

(May I use the sleeves left over from yesterday?) Laura asked.

(Go for it.) I gave permission.

(Then we only need one more sleeve.) Laura said. (How about 3x Succubus Knight and 2x Harpie Lady Sisters? They are all extra copies, so Master won’t lose access to a monster.)

… Succubus Knight? That sounds … fun. Well as long as I have one, right?

(Master, please stop having lewd thoughts.) Laura said to me.

(Never.) I argued.

(Then at least think about me in a lewd way.) She said.

(I’m not sure I can. You don’t have a body to lust over. And then there is our history to consider.) I told her.

(... if I was higher level system support, I could fully take over one of your summons and use it as a physical body.) Laura said.

(What? You could? Well, that doesn’t really help at the moment. How do you even grow? Or get upgraded?) I asked.

(I’m sorry Master, but I don’t have access to that information. But I believe it happens when you do something big, on the level of founding a dungeon.) Laura said.

(Well that makes sense. I got you when I eliminated the dungeon and you evolved when I founded it. But what would reach that level?) I asked.

(Perhaps taking down SS-rank monsters?) Laura offered.

(Yeah, let’s not. Better not to hunt something that strong for no reason.) I decided.

(But upgrading me is a reason.) Laura argued.

(It’s not worth throwing an entire ecosystem into chaos for. We won’t go out of our way to hunt something like that. We will find another way.) I told her. (And I’m not even sure I could take on a SS-rank monster. How strong are they anyway?)

(Their destructive power is around that of Master of Oz, but I would say SS-rank monsters are stronger than that, as they have powers that protect them from alternative attack methods. They would be closer to Master of Oz if Master installs a few cards into it.) Laura said.

… so SS-monsters are no joke. Probably something like a 4k beater that can’t be destroyed or targeted by card effects. So SS-monsters are Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragons.

Yeah. Let’s never fight one if we can avoid it. I don’t want to be on the receiving end of Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon. I want to be the one attacking into the 0 defense monster with it. It’s the most fun way of running a Blue-Eyes deck.

Shuffle.

I heard some sounds from one of the beds. I wanted to go and try out Millennium Shield, but I couldn’t leave the room while everyone else slept.

I looked over to the makeshift bedroom. I originally made two beds for us as the maids said they would sleep on the floor, but apparently Christina had decided against it and made another bed for the maids to share. I guess they are mother and daughter, so them sleeping together is not strange. And the beds easily fit two people.

Sana was the one that woke up.

“Good morning.” I greeted her as she got out of bed. She was dressed in just her underwear so I only took a quick peak before turning my head back to the dungeon core. I could use the core's surveillance to ‘spy’ on her, but that’s no better than peaking. Live picture is better than magic video anyway.

“Good morning.” I heard her say before she disappeared behind a cardboard wall to get her dress on.

What do you mean you want to know the color of her underwear? I’m not telling you. Even if I saw it, it doesn't mean I will share.

Just a minute later, Sana came out from behind the cardboard wall. She was dressed in the ‘maid outfit’ that they wore at the Watchman manor. Well it isn’t a real maid outfit, but just a navy dress with an apron over it.

“Lord Brian, perhaps you could make a dividing wall between the main area of the room and the beds?” She requested.

“I guess I could.” I said. “Perhaps a quick cardboard wall will work. That way we won’t wake up Christina.”

“Yes, please.” Sana agreed.

I made a couple of 2 meter tall cardboard panels, and smaller ones to act as legs for them. Sana then pulled out a knife, and made slots for the panels to link up with. Then we set them out, covering the beds so they couldn’t be seen from the couches we set out around the core.

We also moved the ‘changing room’ so it was next to the ‘bedroom’. Christina can make it better and permanent later. I think she will be the one to use it more.

“Is that better?” I asked her.

“At least it will work for now.” Sana said.

“Well someone has no trust in me.” I commented.

“Master did order us to keep Madam safe from you.” Sana said.

“... yeah, he doesn’t trust me either.”

“He is just protective over what is his.” Sana specified.

“A little too protective when it comes to some things.” I added.

“If this is about Miss Alice, you need to understand his point of view. A lesser behemoth will absolutely destroy the town. Nothing will be left. And not all of us can summon dragons and magicians.” Sana said.

“I know, but he really should let her level up. I’m not a combat expert or anything, but being higher level is generally a good thing.” I said.

“But at the same time, leveling up is dangerous. Master couldn’t risk the life of Miss Alice by sending her out to hunt monsters.” Sana argued.

“He should have been able to balance it out. And even if he couldn’t, that doesn’t explain why he didn’t send Alice to school.”

“... it’s because nobles that can’t use magic are looked down upon.” Sana said. “Had Miss Alice gone to school, there is a high chance that the Watchman name would be soured and Miss Alice would be made fun of.”

“Why am I not surprised?”

Of course it has to be something like that. Nobles that are stuck on their high horses make fun of people that can’t use magic. What else would they do? Wonder if they’ll make fun of me because I can’t use magic? Pack Opener is not magic. It’s a skill. And the same goes for telekinesis. I guess there is that synchro thing with the water spirit, but I’ve never tested that out. Well if they make fun of me, I can always use Skill Drain, so they can’t use magic either. Or something like Magic Canceller. Make fun of me then.

“Lord Brian, are you hungry by any chance?” Sana asked.

“No, Aneesa made me breakfast before she went to sleep.” I answered.

“I see. Of course my mother would.” Sana said.

“Are you disappointed that you didn’t get the chance to impress me with your cooking?” I teased.

“No. I only care about it because it is my job.” She said coldly.

“Wow. You didn’t need to be that direct about it.”

“And you don’t need to tease every girl in your vicinity. Your baby face won’t work on everyone.” Sana said as she left to get some food for herself.

Baby face? Do I really have one? I know my beard doesn’t grow anymore, but I don’t think I got any younger. Actually, why does my beard not grow anymore?

(It’s because you are a dungeon founder. The dungeon’s influence is keeping you looking young.) Laura said.

(That’s not too bad. At least I don’t have to worry about shaving any time soon then.) I commented.

(Well, as long as Master is happy about it.)

(Why would I not be? I would need at least a good razor before I want to grow a beard again. Otherwise it will just be a pain.)

(Well you could use the mithril-gold alloy to make a razor for yourself.) Laura said.

(But I would need a razor to analyze first. Or like an ingot that I can take to a smith.)

(You could try summoning Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu. He should be capable.) Laura said.

… I have a smith? As a summon? … Well that’s something. But I still can’t make ingots, so…

And he is an Iron Blacksmith. Wonder if he can work with mithril? I guess I should summon him and find out. Perhaps if he can do it, I could install an extra copy into the dungeon. I did it with Labyrinth Wall, and that worked out fine, so this should as well.

I decided to practice telekinesis while I was waiting for Christina to wake up. I didn’t want to leave the core without one of us watching over it, and I didn’t want to summon a blacksmith to a room people are sleeping in. That would just be rude.

Once again, I had pulled my Beaver Warrior to be my practice object. As soon as I began, I noticed the difference with my mana movement. Even though I still had Laura do it, my mana was flowing so much easier now that I had the skill. That led to improved speed with telekinesis. Perhaps with some more practice, I can use it to float a sword around. And Millennium Shield should be able to fly on its own. That way I have a flying sword and shield.

After some more practice, I heard someone walk up to me.

“You are getting better at that.” I heard Christina say.

“Oh, good morning.” I said as I turned around to face her. Even though she surprised me, I didn’t drop my telekinesis hold on the card.

“Well, it isn’t exactly morning now is it?”

“... perhaps not, but I can't tell the time here.”

“Did anything happen while I slept? I noticed the wall you put up around the beds.” She asked.

“Well, I did kind of see Sana in her underwear.” I admitted. “She insisted I make a wall so I can’t see the beds.”

“I see. Well, privacy is a nice addition.” Christina commented. “Anything else?”

“No. Not really. But I do want to head out and perform some more experiments. I got a new monster I want to try out.” I told her.

“I see. Well you can do that after we have some food. I would guess that you are hungry by now.” She said.

“I guess I am. Well then, time for lunch.”

“Thanks for the meal. I’ll head into the dungeon now.” I said to everyone after I had eaten. I also made sure to check the seventh large room for any abnormal monsters, but there didn’t appear to be any. The strongest monster there was C-rank.

“Take care.” Christina said to me. “I’ll inform you if something abnormal appears.”

“Thanks. See you soon.”

Now, let’s hope Millennium Shield is as strong as it sounds.
