Chapter 203: Groups (7)
Chapter 203: Groups (7)
Much to Rina's relief and disappointment of the humans of the group, all the elves in the last part of the northern region were in the shelters. The group increased by four hundred, and it only took two days to gather all of them. During that time, Rina asked them if they had noticed anything weird happening in the last three months. However, there we no flying monsters in the area, and the others never climbed the mountains, so they lived quite the peaceful life… that was good, but they will be hard to train…
"You said that you had to fight a lot until now… were you lying?" Richter asked.
"Another one who has some balls, huh…" Luke furrowed his eyebrows. "You said that you wanted to help, but now you look disappointed that they are fine."
"I am Sorry about this fool's behavior, Luke," Rachel said after she punched Richter's left side.
"If you guys want to fight that badly, then we can take you to a place where many overlords have created their bases," Rina said while showing a serious expression. "In that place, monsters are always fighting each other and the overlords never stop spawning them."
"This is the first time I am hearing that," Luke said.
"There are some areas in this world that are rich in resources and mana level, in those areas, monsters level up faster, so the overlords wants them," Rina explained. "My home was such a place… it was once a forest full of life with many springs, but now is a dead swamp."
"What kind of resources and those places exist on Earth?" Luke asked. "It might be a good idea to leave my monsters there."
"Wood, stones, ores…" Rina replied. "Only a few of us had the chance to find them, those who did it, already passed away. However, they found those special resources rich in mana and made items out of them and they were on the level of high tier magic weapons."
"They are rare and the monsters target them, the overlords might have a way to find them as well…" Luke said while he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"Yes… and it took a while for them to appear in this world, with the exception of the area where I lived," Rina explained. "Still, considering how fast your planet had to deal with overlords, then they must be appearing already."
"I see… how can we find those resources?" Luke asked.
"They stand out… but it is difficult to find ores and stones rich in mana from above, but the trees probably can be seen while we fly on that," Rina replied.
That was worth checking… it was a pity that using the ice castle on Earth was impossible. Still, hopefully, Luke will find another one, and he will have enough mana and focus to use by himself.
Regardless, things got pretty noisy when the new group of elves joined the camp. Luke began to work and organize everyone in the groups that they were going to work. During the next two days, Luke didn't have much time to do any training, but he decided to check the bow when he had some free time. The power behind it didn't rely on his physical strength but the amount of mana and how high his INT was. Even though that was his weakest parameter, Luke still could take down enemies like Salamanders without breaking a sweat. Not only that, his attacks only lost power when the opponent was like two hundred meters away.
"Maybe you should use the bow, Rina," Luke said.
"I am not good with it… my aim sucks and I am slow when firing arrows," Rina said.
"Wakanda nonsense is that?" Luke asked. "Elves should be able to use bows like they know how to use their limbs."
"Says who?" Rina frowned. "Anyway, I am serious, I am not good with a bow."
"What about you, Shalia?" Luke asked.
"I would rather keep my hands free for when I have the chance to use magic," Shalia replied. "While you are not the best option for the bow, I think you should keep it. Your aim isn't half bad, and your INT will keep growing."
Something clicked inside Luke's. Wasn't that bow way stronger than he had imagined? It would keep growing more powerful alongside his INT. While that was more or less true for all magic bows, it seemed a bit more evident on that one. Probably because the weapon didn't have any elemental attribute… Regardless, it wouldn't be bad to keep that as a sub-weapon, even though Luke has the habit of rarely using them.
After repeating the same process as the previous week, Luke and his group began to move and search for the remaining elves. They wouldn't have to stay in harsh weather anymore. Still, it seemed that in the western part of that region, something troublesome was waiting for them… two alliances of overlords fighting against each other.
