Chapter 1212 Paying a Visit

Chapter 1212  Paying a Visit

"…I suppose I could leave this shop to you again?"

As he wrapped up yet another learning session with Juno in preparation for the shop's opening, Valyr had a faint apologetic smile on his face as he asked the man for a small favor.

"Are you gonna make sure you'll come back on time this around, though?" Of course, recalling what happened the last time the young man asked such a request from him, Juno hesitated on accepting.

After all, the man still felt overwhelmed when he thought about the number of people he'd be talking and interacting with for the entire day, even if he'd gotten slightly more used to the thought over the past few days.

"Now you're making it sound like I intentionally do it to mess with you." Hearing Juno's words, the apologetic smile on Valyr's face slightly deepened, wryly chuckling at the thought before letting out a faint sigh soon after.

"In any case, I'll try my best to get back here before you have to open up shop the next day," he added, giving the man a look of reassurance. "Plus, even if I don't come back on time, I'm sure you'll only have to man the shop for like a few more hours at most."

"And if you take even longer than that to come back?" asked Juno back as an extreme what-if scenario, the hesitation on his face slightly intensifying. "After all, you did say you coming back later than usual wasn't intentional."

"Then… it is what it is, I guess." Valyr could only shrug his shoulders at those words. "At the very least, you'll be able to learn blacksmithing for another entire day from me."

"Speaking of which, when do you plan on doing that?"

"…"

Fortunately, after a bit more persuasion, Juno eventually accepted Valyr's request of managing the shop, allowing the young man to ease up a bit as he changed his appearance using [Thousand Polymorph].

Swoosh!

'I should really give this second alternate identity of mine a name if I plan on using it more often.' Making use of his third identity in order to leave the village without attracting the players' attention, Valyr let out a slight chuckle as the thought came up to mind.

'Then again, it's not like I'd need to come up with a name for this identity any time soon. I can always save the thought for later.'

'For now, it's time to head to the Caemelio clan.'

Whoosh!

Whizzing through the air at great speeds, Valyr, donning his Ylvar identity, had a calm expression on his face as he went through the information Braum gave him back then on the Caemelio clan.

"If my calculations are correct, it'll only take me a few more minutes of traveling north from the Audar Kingdom for me to arrive at the Caemelio clan's estate." n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

As those words left his mouth, the young man let out a low sigh, briefly thinking back on the journey he'd gone through just to get to his current point.

After leaving Daffors Village using the third identity, Valyr swapped to his highly recognized identity as Ylvar before arriving at a nearby town, deciding to make use of the Blacksmith Guild's Teleportation Halls to cut down on his travel time once more.

However, unlike before, where he'd be able to get to where he wanted mostly unobstructed, a greater number of people began to block and interrupt him while he made his way to the town's Blacksmith Guild branch.

Although the entire thing did annoy him to some degree, the young man found it simple to deal with after making use of both [Warrior's Eyes of Slaughter] as well as his aura on full blast, causing the people obstructing him to move aside as if he was cutting the sea in half.

Unfortunately for him, the people obstructing him was not a one-time thing, with many other groups of people blocking his way whenever he arrived at a city or kingdom that brought him closer to where he needed to go.

In fact, before he left Audar Kingdom in order to start making his way to the Caemelio clan estate, Valyr was swarmed by a ton of people once more the moment he left the Blacksmith Guild.

Of course, knowing what to do after having experienced it a couple of times, the young man swiftly activated the combo he made use of many times more, allowing him to leave the kingdom without causing too much fanfare.

"I'm pretty sure Sullivan has something to do with this," muttered the young man to himself, briefly thinking back to the meeting the two held in his shop a few days ago.

Recalling the eyes glaring at him with hostile intent before the man left the village for good, Valyr had a feeling that the man would make a move on him one way or another, acting as a reminder that he was basically one man fighting against the force of a faction.

"But since I stopped him from divulging any information we shared during our conversation, he decided to focus on my identity as Ylvar instead."

"Honestly, I thought it'd take longer for him to make a move, considering the clan's rebel faction only made a move not that long ago," said Valyr to himself with a wry smile, only to shrug his shoulders at the thought soon after.

"Then again, it's not like the mana oath is all-encompassing or everything."

Though he was confident that he shut down a lot of the loopholes Sullivan could have made use of by adding the phrase 'anyone through any means' near the end of his oath, it wasn't as if that phrase would completely stop the man from sharing what they talked about with other people.

With the scope of the mana oath only being limited to information the two of them shared during the meeting, Valyr knew Sullivan could create new pieces of information by combining the information he already knew with the information he got from the meeting, rendering the oath null and void.

He also knew that the man could also use the connections he had with other people to slowly point the people he was talking with to the information he wanted them to figure out, considering that it was a loophole he often used back in his previous life.

All in all, there were a myriad ways of bypassing the binding effect of a mana oath.

In fact, there was even a method wherein it was possible to nullify the mana oath itself.

However, one would need to become an Ancient Monarch at the very least.

Though, one would only become an Ancient Monarch if they had reached the highest level of strength possible for a peak Rank 10 class holder.

Coming to the conclusion that the chaos Sullivan added to his life didn't really hamper him from doing the things he needed to do, Valyr eventually pushed all of his thoughts on the matter to the side as he arrived near the entrance of the Caemelio clan's estate.

Whoosh!

Deactivating [Flight of the Azure Dragon] the moment he realized he was only a couple hundred meters away from arriving at the Caemelio clan, Valyr decided to traverse the remaining distance on his two feet.

Faintly releasing some of his aura into the surroundings in the hopes he'd get the attention of a couple of people from the clan, a smile began to creep up onto the young man's lips once he realized his actions had made his thoughts a reality.

"Who goes there?!" Just as he was only a couple dozen meters away from arriving at the Caemelio clan's gates, a group of people from the Caemelio clan stood in Valyr's way, all of them looking at him with wariness and vigilance in their eyes.

"The name's Ylvar." Not wanting to get on the clan's bad side before he could even enter, Valyr went ahead and retracted his aura as he looked at the group with a calm expression. "I've come to your clan to seek your clan's assistance."

"Assistance?" Unsurprisingly, the group of people immediately had looks of bewilderment and shock on their faces after hearing that the young man in front of them was none other than the well-renowned Ylvar. Because of that, it took the group a bit of time to calm down, even though their body language betrayed the amount of excitement they felt from meeting such a person up close. "What… what help can the Caemelio clan give you, exactly?"

Whoosh!

Hearing those words, Valyr took out the flint gem Riekan made for him out of his spatial bracelet, freely letting the aura it gave off envelop the group of people he was facing.

"I would like the clan's help in upgrading an accessory of mine," said the young man as he continued to show the flint gem in full view. "I was sent here by your clan's founder, telling me that the clan would be able to upgrade it."

"This gem I hold is proof of his words."

"The clan's founder…" As the man at the front of the group murmured these words to himself, the man soon felt an otherworldly aura come from the flint gem Valyr was holding, causing his eyes to slightly widen in surprise as a string of words began to echo in his mind

"…I see." Closing his eyes for a bit after that, the man eventually let out a brief exhale as he gave Valyr a firm nod. "Understood."

"Follow us."
