Chapter 3.3

Chapter 3.3

Not far from his department, Lin Haoran gave her an introduction, "That's where Dr. Fu's daily office is, but he spends more time in the Surgical room."

He added, "I'll go over and ask to see what time Dr. Fu finishes today."

In a few moments, the man came back from asking.

"It's expected to be several hours before he is done." He looked at Ji Qingying, "You don't need to wait."

Ji Qingying nodded, "Okay, Thank you."

Lin Haoran put one hand in his pocket and said with a faint smile, "Looks like I'm beyond all hope after all."

He saw the embarrassment on Ji Qingying's face and said quickly, "Just kidding, don't take it to heart."

"Well."

She smiled, looked at Lin Haoran and said, "Thanks for your help, Doctor Lin."

Lin Haoran waved his hand magnanimously, "No problem, ask me for help if you need anything."

Lin Haoran didn't stay long and gave Ji Qingying a brief tour around the hospital before leaving first.

Ji Qingying walked around the hospital before going out.

The setting sun lengthened her shadow, leaving a shallow trace.

At 09:00 pm.

Fu Yanzhi came out of the operating room after doing surgery for a patient with a sudden heart attack in the morning. It was an acute myocardial infarction.

After contacting the patient's family, the surgery was conducted straight away.

From the morning until now, the surgery was finally completed successfully.

He took off his gloves and mask and went to the bathroom to wash his hands.

He lowered his eyes and put his slender fingers under the faucet, letting the water run and rinse his hands..

A few minutes later, Fu Yanzhi returned to his department.

He went in, picked up his phone and looked at it, and before he could reply, there was a knock at the door.

Fu Yanzhi raised his eyes.

"Dr. Fu."

It was the on-duty nurse.

With a slight nod of his head, he simply said, "I don't want to order food."

The nurse chuckled, "Theres no takeaway food for you, instead someone brought you a meal."

Fu Yanzhi looked over indifferently.

The nurse only smiled and brought out the meal to put on his desk.

Fu Yanzhi narrowed his eyes and looked at the Sanshi Restaurant logo.

His fingers clicked and he was about to push it away when his phone rang.

Lin Haoran was calling him.

"What is it?"

"Did you see the tweets I sent you?" Lin Haoran was resting at home at this point, "Beauty Ji went to the hospital to see you today, but you were performing a surgery."

Fu Yanzhi didn't utter a word.

Lin Haoran asked in puzzlement, "Why does that kind of beauty also like you? What is it about you that is so attractive?"

Fu Yan Zhi didn't bother to pay attention to his crazy words and asked in a cold voice, "Anything else?"

"Nope."

Lin Haoran went on, "But I plan to be your matchmaker, and by the way, she asked if she could bring you your meal and I said yes, did she bring it to you? "

Hearing this, Fu Yanzhi looked at the bag in front of him for a while and unwrapped it.

There was a memo inside.

Dr. Fu, don't forget to eat~.

The memo had a nice but messy handwriting and was left without a signature.

Hanging up the phone, Fu Yanzhi tapped his fingers on the phone.

It was his habit when he was thinking about things.

A few seconds later, Fu Yanzhi took off his lab coat and hung it to one side.

He walked out from his office and looked to the nurse outside, "I'm going out, call me later if there's an emergency, or call for Dr. Xu."

"Sure."

The night of spring had a kind of unexplainable cool, Ji Qingying actually did not necessarily want to see Fu Yanzhi though.

She was just bored and after she left the hospital, she and Chen Xinyu went to see the new house brochure.

Before she finished reading about it, Chen Xinyu was called back to work overtime, and she was fine on her own, ghosting her way back to the hospital.

Ji Qingying looked down, checking the time on her phone.

It was almost ten o'clock, and she had no idea whether Fu Yanzhi's surgery was over by now.

She was walking across the street from the hospital, waiting for the red light to pass and could still see the lights on in the hospital, connected like lifelines.

The streets chimed with sirens.

There was a lot of hustle and bustle. It was as if night had never come.

Ji Qingying shook her feet slightly, listening to the unfamiliar conversations in her ears.

The red light was replaced by green light.

She pulled back from her distracted thoughts and was just about to lift her foot to move across the street.

Amidst the gathering of people, she raised her eyes to see someone standing across the street.

The light from the street lamps and traffic lights fell on him, lengthening his shadow.

The figure of the man was tall, standing there unmoving with one hand in his pocket, as upright as a pillar.

Seemingly aware of her gaze, he lifted his eyes and looked over at Ji Qingying.

The zebra crossings were crowded and the lights were on both sides of the road.

Their eyes converged, and the undercurrent surged.

Ji Qingying blinked, stepping on the zebra crossing without any hesitation and walked over.

After standing in front of him, Ji Qingying tilted her head and smiled with her eyes curved, "Dr. Fu, have you eaten yet?"

She was proactive and direct, "If you haven't eaten, would you be so kind as to join me for a meal?"

Fu Yanzhi looked at her with narrowed eyes for a long while and calmly said, "Didn't you send me one already?"

Ji Qingying: "."
